This room reflects the cool nature of the Red Ajah, the furnishings just as
severe as the rest of the room. A gilded chair rests near the center of the
room, accompanied by an equally elaborate dark wooden desk. Chairs have
been drawn up to the tall, arched windows, which look over the western side
of Tar Valon, the western bank of the Erinin and Dragonmount beyond,
serving as a constant reminder of the purpose of the Red Ajah.

Morella says 'Welcome to the White Tower, initiate.'

Amilesa moves her head from side to side examining the room.

Morella says 'Tell me a little about yourself?'

Amilesa says 'Thank you, Aes Sedai. It has been a large change.'

Morella says 'Aye, tell me all about it, sweetling.'

Amilesa briefly purses her lips in thought.

Amilesa says 'I am from an area in the Two Rivers called Emond's Field. My family is quite large
and has a farm out by the Volcano. Though I often spent a good amount of time in Emonds Field.'

Morella slips a small, sharp dagger from her sleeve and begins to sharpen her nails while you talk.

Amilesa says 'I thought that would be my life until Etain Sedai was passing through and noticed I
could be Trained to channel.'

Morella 's brows both lift at the sound of that, and she flinches.

Morella puts a bleeding finger in her mouth.

Amilesa waves her hands to encompass her dress and the tower.

Morella says 'Etain left the Tower?'

Morella says 'Color me incredulous.'

Morella waves her hands briefly.

Amilesa says 'Once I learned I could learn to do things others could not, I couldn't pass up the
opportunity.'

Morella says 'And what can you do, that others cannot?'

Amilesa says 'I've learned the colors of the seven Ajahs, Aes Sedai, but I am not familiar with that
color.'

Morella narrows her eyes at you.

Amilesa gets a smirk on her face as she says 'Well, not what others in the Tower can not do. But
once I learned I could be taught to control Saidar, and its applications. It was the only choice.'

Amilesa says 'The color of incredulous.'

Morella nods firmly as though you have answered well.

Morella says 'True, best here instead of collared or Light forbid made into a hedgewitch.'

Morella wrinkles her nose.

Amilesa visibly shivers at the mention of a collar.

Amilesa's eyes roam to the desk and its contents before returning to the Aes Sedai.

Amilesa says 'I spent a bit of time at the WInespring Inn helping out. I would have likely found
employment there. I have a good head for numbers.'

Morella rolls her fingers on the desktop.

Morella says 'So why not stay there?'

Morella says 'For what actual reason should one come to the White Tower?'

Amilesa says 'I am sure people have many reasons. I do it to learn a skill I can not learn anywhere
else. And now that I know I possess it, I must at least learn how to control it, lest it become a
risk.'

Morella flips the dagger up in the air and watches it land point-down in the desk.

Morella says 'Child, did no one teach you what Aes Sedai means in the Old Tongue?'

Morella holds pressure on her bleeding finger.

Amilesa says 'Yes, Aes Sedai, that was a part of my first studies. It means Servent of All.'

Morella says 'Ah. So why would one want to join the White Tower?'

Amilesa says 'To provide service to the world and those in it.'

Morella holds a bleeding finger up.

Morella says 'Yes, precisely!'

Morella says 'Very good, Novice.'

Morella says 'And how does a Novice serve?'

Amilesa says 'A Novice serves by learning to control her power, to not be a danger to those around
her. And to gain an understanding of the foundational lessons and concepts she will need further in
her studies.'

Morella says 'And she does the dishes, does she not?'

Amilesa says 'I claim that that is one of those foundational lessons. Ones to impart patience, and
as you mention, service.'

Morella says 'You figured us out, I'll admit.'

Morella emote: Morella leans over her desk and takes a good look at you.

Amilesa says 'While we have many chores that I perform as a Novice, any servant could perform them.
They serve a purpose beyound menial labour.'

Amilesa closes her mouth with a silent snap.

Morella says 'What makes you better than any servant, little one?'

Morella 's face has grown unmistakably cold.

Amilesa frowns as she considers the question.

Amilesa says 'Am I better than any servent, Aes Sedai?'

Morella gestures at you to continue.

Amilesa says 'Every person has different skills and abilities that they bring to the proverbial
table.'

Amilesa gestures to the chairs around the room as a exmplar.

Amilesa says 'And so, everyone can provide something different. While I will have the ability of
Saidar which will be a great boon in accomplishing tasks, the duties of others should not be
discounted.'

Morella says 'Indeed, and in fact those are your duties.'

Morella says 'To think yourself better than any other who serves is dangerous folly, child.'

Amilesa moves the weight of her body from her left leg to her right, shifting ever so slightly.

A short walk ensues.

Amilesa says 'As dishes get dirty they must be clean so we can use them ago. Replacing them with
new dishes at every use is a waste of resources.'

Morella says 'We wash the dishes because the dishes need to be washed.'

Amilesa says 'That is just the alternative to not washing dishes, Aes Sedai.'

Morella shakes out her sudsy hands.

Morella lightly guides you to the sink.

Amilesa scrubs the dirty dishes in the sink.

Some dishwashing ensues.

Morella says 'Ah, your time at the inn does show through in your work.'

Morella dries the clean dishes with a spare cloth.

Amilesa says 'I've also done my share of kitchen duty with Mistress Laras here, Aes Sedai.'

Amilesa gets a towel from the rack and rubs her hands in it.

Morella scrub the dishes.

Morella says 'Your share?'

Morella says 'What is /your/ share, Amilesa?'

Amilesa says 'Merely an expression to indicate that I have been scheduled kitchen cleaning duty
often, Aes Sedai.'

Morella emote: Morella nods with satisfaction.

Amilesa reaches for the towel once more.

Amilesa finishes drying her hands with a plain white towel.

Morella says 'Amilesa the Novice, may I offer you some advice?'

Amilesa says 'Of course, Aes Sedai.'

Morella says 'It would be wise of you to remember that a Servant of All does not think themselves better
than the man who sweeps the streets.'

Morella says 'Power and humility must move hand in hand.'

Amilesa says 'Of course, Aes Sedai.'

Morella says 'I will raise you today, but I am leaving a note to the other Sisters to see that you
remember this lesson if you wish to proceed.'
