War system questions
Re: War system questions
I think it's because imms and probably most people don't want channeling mobs overrunning the mud, which in the case of wins is what would happen.
Re: War system questions
Who cares if it is against DS? (spoken from an LS perspective!)
Re: War system questions
I've always only ever been in one clan: Lancers. For the first time ever, I want to clan an alt into a southern clan. Trying to decide which side to join, its a toss between Andor and CoL. But considering Rising Sun too. This all seems so exciting.Adael wrote:Perhaps, perhaps not. Some people also feel it's pointless to log on, and activity stays the same or goes down.Khahliana wrote:It is true that the system favors highly active clans. That is part of the purpose, to inspire clan activity. The less active clans are getting their asses kicked. Frankly, this is to be expected. This is what inspires activity. The wars may be lost, but think to the future. Recruit active people to clan so you have numbers to win the next war.

Andor! "Forward the White Lion of Andor!"Neveyan wrote: I've always only ever been in one clan: Lancers. For the first time ever, I want to clan an alt into a southern clan. You would be welcome.

On another note about the General patties: because the patties do not have memory and do not aggro, when a party hits the general then all they have to do if they get hit is flee out as a group then walk back into the general's room to benefit from the no hide and no channel. CoL was using this extensively during one of their recent raids on Caemlyn's general. The general's room is essentially a safe-to-rest room, currently, for the raiding party.
Re: War system questions
Has been used against us the same way. Would like to see the patty assist the defending people if possible.
Re: War system questions
Because the DS one will be used to tally LS vs DS and not DS vs any given clan, e.g. Tower. The relatively few LS who would dare enter a DS city, against all of DS, is way more balanced than Tar Valon against any given LS clan.Octavio wrote:If DS gets one that how do you not give the Tower one at that time? All the arguments against giving Tar Valon one before are mute against the DS/Tower war.hasp wrote:Hrm, wonder how the DS stuff will work
But, this is months away, still.
Re: War system questions
I see Thakan'dar (where I assume a DS war room would be located) hit fairly regularly by as few as 4 LSer's, mainly during European/Aussie hours. Coupled with the almost invisible DS wholist (at that time) and the comically weak setup of war room mobs, it's naive to think the current trend of LS superiority will have faltered by the time a DS war room is implemented. The only difficulty is the distance, but FC's can easily mitigate that. I hope I will be proved wrong, but experience sadly dictates otherwise.Elysia wrote:Because the DS one will be used to tally LS vs DS and not DS vs any given clan, e.g. Tower. Re: War system questions
Yea watching 4 humans all wvd take out shaidar is depressing. It happens pretty often really, so not sure if setting a war thing in TKD would necessarily be "omg 2 hard tkd op"
Re: War system questions
Feel like Shaidar should have some guards or be harder.
Re: War system questions
I'd love to see 'allied' clans each get a mob in the generals room, grouped on the general so they dont just instantly die, to allow the patty to assist whoever is defending.
So far defending these things has come out as a virtual DT (I should have died every single time I have)
In respect to the comments on Shaidar, missing a single bash typically results in one of the party dying, his instant narrates result in a flood of whichever DS are online, and bad luck with the disengages/rengage fireballs can result in near instant death. I'd suggest moving such comments to another thread though.. and if you think its so easy maybe try leading it.
