A stout wooden barrel stands nearby.
Fareleaen the Sister is standing here.
Jiera the Tower Accepted is standing here.
The fishmonger is here, hoping to buy your catch.
A gray palfrey prances skittishly nearby.
The Tar Valon town crier stands here, spreading the news.

Ameth has arrived from the north.

Ameth leaves south.

Jiera looks at Osara.

Osara curtseys before Fareleaen.

Fareleaen says 'Hello'

Osara inclines her head in greeting to Jiera.

Jiera smiles at Osara.

Jiera says 'Good day. I am Jiera.'

Osara says 'Good morning, Aes Sedai.'

Jiera says 'It's nice to meet you.'

Osara's mouth quirks in a crooked smile.

A fishmonger leaves west.

Osara says 'And you, Jiera. The light shine on you both.'

Fareleaen leaves north.

Jiera says 'Well Jiera Dal'morin, Tower Accepted and Brown Ajah apprentice. But no need to be formal.'

Jiera says 'I wonder if Farelean Sedai knows I'm a Brown Ajah apprentice.'

Jiera grins.

Jiera says 'It's been some time since I've worked with Khahliana Sedai.'

Osara says 'Well, I suppose if we were being formal we might say, Osara Mitsando, Mistress of Nor Chasen, scion of the Altaran Mitsandos!'

Osara says 'But... no need to be formal.'

Osara's mouth quirks at the edges.

Jiera says 'Oh how wondrous. '

Osara shrugs slightly.

Jiera says 'You must have had an interesting life before coming to the Tower.'

Osara says 'Mistress of Nor Chasen might be...a bit strong.'

Jiera says 'I have nothing so grand to my past.'

Jiera says 'Or grand sounding.'

Jiera grins.

Osara holds thumb and forefinger very close together.

Osara says 'A slight exaggeration, perhaps.'

Osara coughs loudly.

Jiera smiles happily.

Osara says 'Alright, fine, mother is a chambermaid. You twisted my arm.'

Jiera says 'The best stories usually have some exaggerations. '

Osara claps her arms around her.

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara says 'The weather is well, do you not think?'

Jiera says 'You sound like you are a writer? '

Osara says 'Perhaps some destructive field testing of fauna?'

Osara says 'I can see that appealling to a Brown apprentice.'

Jiera says 'It's a bit chilly, but the snow falling is pretty.'

Jiera nods in agreement.

Jiera says 'I was wondering if YOU are maybe also a Brown Ajah apprentice.'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara says 'Believe me, compared to the Altaran heat, snowing is perfect.'

Jiera smiles happily.

A sailor has arrived from the east.

Osara says 'Alas, I am no one's apprentice currently!'

Jiera says 'Oh. How interesting.'

The sun casts a golden glow over the city.

Jiera says 'Although I suppose I am not either. I mean no one has seen Khahliana Sedai in years.'

Osara says in a strangled Andoran accent 'Indeed.'

Osara says in a strangled Andoran accent 'Quite so.'

Jiera says 'I assume she is on an expedition exploring the world and learning her secrets.'

Osara grins at Jiera.

Jiera says 'Oh dear. I feel so rusty -- like I've forgotten everything I once knew.'

Jiera says 'I will need to visit all the trainers.'

Osara says 'Or counting the wingbeats of a hummingbird, or something entirely vital like that.'

Osara says 'Oh dear!'

The day has begun.

Jiera says 'You don't approve of how the Brown Ajah conducts research?'

Osara says 'Can I help, dear?'

Osara says 'So there is thing called the One Power...'

A city lamplighter extinguishes a streetlamp.

Osara lets her voice trail off.

Jiera says 'I am not sure which weapon to train.'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara looks at Jiera.

Wind-tousled copper hair fails to hide the line of burned flesh encircling
this woman's neck. A walking stick never far from her side, this woman's
tilted sapphire eyes shine with compassion, enthusiasm, and the spirit of
adventure.

Jiera is in excellent condition.

Jiera says 'Good one.'

Stasia has arrived from the north.

Osara ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Jiera says 'Although funny enough I was thinking about learning something completely new to me -- Fireball.'

Osara shivers uncomfortably.

Osara says 'All that heat!'

Osara says 'All that heat!'

Jiera's eyes darken and she frowns.

Jiera says 'Oh...'

Jiera stammers.

Jiera says 'Not so new. I had forgotten.'

Stasia leaves south.

Jiera calms her features.

Stasia has arrived from the south.

Stasia leaves east.

Osara squeezes your elbow.

Jiera's hand rises to her neck and fingers a long scar.

Osara says 'It's alright. I can't remember my own name when I wake up.'

Osara says 'Also typically, my pillow is stuck to my face with drool.'

Jiera shakes her head slightly and looks at Osara.

Jiera says 'Yes. '

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara says 'It is, I can assure you, incredibly dignified drool, though.'

Jiera says 'How honest of you to say that. '

Osara says 'Well. Keep to the Oaths, we must!'

The fountain splashes merrily, light sparkling beautifully on the surface of the water.

Jiera says 'And how delightful it would be if you continued with such honesty and bluntness as an Aes Sedai someday?'

Jiera says 'Can you imagine?'

The River Lady has arrived at the docks.

Osara smiles happily.

Jiera says 'An Aes Sedai talking about drool?'

Jiera grins.

A sailor leaves south.

Jiera says 'I prefer bluntness.'

Jiera says 'While Cairhien may be my favourite city -- that was due to the people and not due to the Great Game of Houses.'

Osara says solemnly, 'If you ask an Aes Seda about drool I will be -your- apprentice for evermore.'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Jiera says 'I think if I were to ask, the Aes Sedai would just change the subject or answer in a way that her words are true, but misleading.'

Jiera looks at Osara.

Osara says '"I am told that some people do in fact wake with drool".'

Osara says 'Or some such.'

Jiera nods in agreement.

Jiera says 'Exactly.'

Jiera says 'So. What type of weapon do you use?'

Osara wields a bladed feather staff with both hands.

Osara twirls the staff.

Jiera says 'Oh. I seem to have a staff.'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara wrestles it away from a passerby.

Aishana has arrived from the north.

Osara coughs loudly.

Osara stops using a bladed feather staff.

Aishana curtseys gracefully.

Jiera says 'Well I was just thinking I should train in staves.'

Osara inclines her head in greeting to Aishana.

Osara says 'It seems wise, since you have one.'
Jiera says 'Hi again, Novice. I'm sorry -- I forgot to say, my name I Jiera.'

Jiera says 'This is Osara.'

Jiera points at Osara.

Osara says 'Hello, Aishana.'
Jiera chuckles politely.

A sailor has arrived from the west.

Jiera says 'Tell me, Novice. Do you drool?'

Aishana smiles slightly

Jiera says 'I mean when you sleep. '

Osara says 'Yes Novice, what are your thoughts regarding saliva?'

Aishana cringes briefly, 'I should hope not'

Jiera grins.

The snow is coming down more heavily now.

Osara says 'Is it to be caged within the mouth, or set free like a dove, to sing its song of peace across one's pillow?'

Jiera says 'A Drool denier is in our midst!'

A smartly dressed man leaves south.

Osara points at Aishana.

Osara says 'DROOL DENIER!'

Jiera laughs.

Osara says 'We must immediately scratch the dragon's drool on Aishana's door.'

Osara nods to herself. Very reassuring.

Jiera chuckles politely.

Jiera says 'Or check her pillows every morning before she wakes up.'

Osara says 'Luckily I have no artistic talent whatsoever, so this should be good.'

Jiera says 'I wonder which Novice shares her room with her?'

Aishana curtseys before Julianna.

Osara inclines her head in greeting to Julianna.

Jiera points at Julianna.

Julianna beams a smile at Jiera.

Osara says 'We do!'

Jiera says 'Do you drool when you sleep?'

Osara gazes intently at Julianna.
Julianna arches an eyebrow.

Osara says 'Do you, Julianna. DO YOU!?'

The Tar Valon town crier beams a smile at Jiera.

Osara's mouth quirks at the edges.

Julianna says 'I wouldn't know, seeing as how I am asleep. '

Stasia has arrived from the east.

Jiera says 'She's taking too long to answer. '

Jiera says 'But do you awaken to a damp pillow? Drool stains?'

Julianna says 'No. '

Jiera says 'One doesn't need to be a Brown Ajah apprentice to --- '

Jiera says 'I see.'

Osara places a hand on Jiera's arm.

Jiera says 'Another drool denier. '

Jiera shakes her head in surprise.

Osara says 'Jiera..could there be...secret nighttime pillow moisteners!?'

Jiera gasps in astonishment.

Stasia ponders life, the universe, and everything.

Julianna arches an eyebrow.

Osara says 'We have failed to account for a variable in this investigation.'

Osara says 'You will never be a Brown.'

Julianna leaves south.

Osara says 'And I, nothing more than a scullery maid.'

Stasia wonders what in the light she walked into.

Jiera says 'Wouldn't that be interesting. Or if some prankster Novice is welling our pillows.'

Osara says 'Questioning is the beginning of knowledge, Stasia.'

Jiera says 'Oh hi.'

Jiera beams a smile at Stasia.

A smartly dressed man has arrived from the south.

Jiera says 'I'm Jiera and this is Osara -- and we are the drool investigators. Tell us, do you drool when you sleep?'

Osara pulls a notebook from her sleeve.

Jiera says 'It need not be every night. I mean, have you -ever- drooled while you slept?'

The fountain splashes merrily, light sparkling beautifully on the surface of the water.

Jiera says 'Woken up to a damp pillow?'

Stasia says 'What would it matter either way?'

Osara says 'Well that's rather expanding the terms. Shifting the shah board, one might say.'

Jiera gasps in surprise.

Stasia says 'Curious question.'

Jiera raises one finger.

Osara looks to Jiera with interest.

The Tar Valon town crier beams a smile at Stasia.

Jiera says 'First, we are curious about whether initiates are too embarrassed to be truthful and follow the oaths as we are supposed to do.'

A hunter for the horn has arrived from the south.

Jiera raises a second finger.

Stasia says 'sadlt i have to work ooc or inwould love to expand on'

A sailor leaves east.
Stasia says 'But only when I am hot'

Jiera says 'Second, we are now also curious if there's some kind of drool monster. Or a prankster Novice dampening pillows.'

Jiera says 'Erm. Was there anything else Osara?'

Jiera beams a smile at Stasia.

Jiera says 'Work is important. Builds character.'

Osara says 'Third, I want to know if I am the only one to awake glued to a pillow.'

Osara rubs her face.
A hunter for the horn leaves east.

Jiera nods to herself, she must need reassurance.

A smartly dressed man leaves south.

Osara says 'Lean back on your knife, and let your tongue go free!'

Jiera says 'Oh I drool sometimes. I live by the oaths and do my best not to lie.'

Osara grins lopsidedly.

Jiera says 'In that spirit, I want to say: Osara, you are a very fun person and I'm glad we met.'

Osara grins lopsidedly.

Jiera says 'No need to return compliments.'

Jiera says 'I'm not fishing for any.'

Jiera winks suggestively.

Osara says 'And so I believe we were initially discussing that destructive testing?'

Jiera says 'Oh yes.'

Osara wields a bladed feather staff with both hands.

Jiera says 'Right. I need to train.'

Osara nods in agreement.

Osara says 'You do, rather.'

Jiera cringes for a moment and then her features soften.

Osara says 'As do I!'

Jiera says 'Oh you do too?'

Jiera says 'I thought maybe I was the only rusty one here.'

Osara says 'I am sure that Sheriam will not mind reminding you of everything you have ever learnt, though.'

The sun sets, washing the city in fiery colors.

Ameth has arrived from the east, riding a warhorse.

Osara curtseys to her audience.

Jiera chuckles politely.

Jiera says 'Not HERE.'

Jiera says 'I meant the lack of using her title.'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara places a hand on her chest and exhales.

Osara says 'Thank the Light. Why would you say that?'

Osara glares icily at Jiera.

Ameth has arrived from the south.

The night has begun.

Jiera says 'Well I mean... I try to always use THEIR titles as otherwise I might form a bad habit.'

Jiera says 'And then forget the title when it's most important not to.'

Ameth leaves south.

Jiera smiles happily.

Jiera says 'But no harm done.'

Osara says 'Ah, well.'

Osara says 'I will let you into a little secret.'

Osara says 'I do this thing that my mother taught me, long ago.'

A smartly dressed man leaves south.

Osara says 'It's called Being Polite.'

Osara says 'But don't tell everyone else, or they will all be at it.'

Osara winks suggestively at Jiera.

Jiera chuckles politely.

Jiera says 'I am polite. '

Jiera says 'I didn't mean to scare you -- HONEST.'

Osara shivers uncomfortably.

Jiera says 'Well I'm always honest, but it's not like you know me well enough... except I was honest about drool.'

A smartly dressed man has arrived from the south.

Jiera says 'Unlike some drool deniers.'

A fishmonger has arrived from the west.

Osara says 'I shall base all my future conversations with you on my knowledge of your damp face.'

Stasia disappears into the void.

Osara says 'Go train though!'

Jiera says 'So long as it doesn't make you start laughing when you need to be serious.'

Jiera smiles happily.

Aine has arrived from the east, riding a warhorse.
Roran has arrived from the east, riding a warhorse.
[also a bunch of rats]

Jiera says 'Those were quite a number of rats.'

Osara inclines her head in greeting to Roran.

Roran bows deeply.

Jiera says 'Newcomers. '

Jiera says 'Do you drool?'

Osara says 'Would you like healing, Roran?'

Jiera says 'I mean have you ever drooled when you slept?'

Aine says 'I think I can handle him, thank you girl.'

Aine looks at Osara.

Aine frowns.

A fishmonger leaves east.

Aine arches an eyebrow.

Roran smiles at Osara.

Jiera says 'We are conducting an experiment of sorts.'

Osara says 'Are we having an eyebrow arch convention?'

Roran whispers to you, 'Thank you anyway.'

Jiera says 'I mean no offense by the question.'

Osara channels flows of Air and Spirit into a beggar, healing him.

Osara's mouth quirks in a crooked smile.

A beggar leaves west.

Osara waves at the beggar's back.

Jiera says 'I guess his needs have been met since he moved on.'

Osara says 'Takes the coin and runs. Well, I suppose you cannot help everybody.'

Jiera whispers to you, 'I guess they are drool deniers too.'

Aine says 'He'll return. Sadly, their plight cannot be answered in one day.'

A fishmonger leaves east.

Aine nods.

Osara says helpfully, 'Jiera and I drool. Aishana denies it.'

The snow lightens up a bit.

Osara says 'What say you, Roran? Drooler or no?'

Aine says 'Sounds like you have something in common with a friend of mine.'

Aine smirks.

Roran says 'I don't know, I'm asleep then.'

Jiera says 'Well and some others have denied it too in spite of us all needing to live by the oaths which includes not lying.'

Aine chuckles politely.

Osara says 'So you see the study is multifaceted!'

Jiera says 'Who? Me?'

Jiera says 'Or her?'

Jiera points at Osara.

Osara says 'It's not just drool, but also the admittance of drool.'

Roran says 'Aine drools when she's awake.'

Jiera says 'Oh yes. Who will be honest even about something that can be embarrassing?'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Osara says 'Aine, you look like a youngish woman in excellent condition. What's your stance viz a vis saliva and its location?'

Aine says 'I do not drool when I'm awake.'

Roran says 'Do so.'

Aine says 'I manage my mouth like this.'

Aine licks her mouth and smiles.

Aine nods to herself, she must need reassurance.

Osara says 'Do you, like Aishana, condem it to a sleepy life within the dankness of your mouth?'

Osara says 'Or like Honest Jiera and I, let it roam free, in a crepuscular manner?'

Aine says 'Roran, if you ever are subject to my saliva, it's by my will alone, and directed to you.'

Jiera says 'Honest Jiera. I like that.'
Roran blinks his eyes innocently.

Osara nods at Jiera.

Aine looks at Osara.

Jiera says 'I mean for a title it could use a bit more...oomph though.'

Aine says 'I cannot speak to what happens in the night.'

Osara says 'I think it says what it intends though.'

Aine says 'With regards to that.'

Aine grins evilly.

A warhorse swishes the flies off its back with its tail.

Osara says 'It says 'Here is Jiera. If you are ugly, she will tell you.''

Jiera says 'But you can speak to the condition of your pillow upon waking!'

Jiera chuckles politely.

Aine snickers softly.

Osara says '...Jiera...?'

Aine says 'No.'

A city lamplighter extinguishes a streetlamp.

Roran winks at Aine.

A mirrored lantern held by Roran is definitely fading.

Jiera chuckles politely.

Julianna stops resting, and clambers on her feet.

Aine says 'You assault my dignity and reputation!'

Aine says 'Such claims.'

Aine grumbles under her breath about certain people.

Jiera says 'I assure you she meant no harm.'

Jiera says 'We often have women come here for those reasons.'

Osara says 'Not to be pedantic, but I think that was actually maligning.'

Osara looks at Jiera archly.

Osara says 'No?'

Julianna looks slowly from Aine to Jiera and Osara.

Jiera says 'Hmm?'

Aine's eyes begin to water and whispers to herself. 'What will the wisdoms think of me.'

Osara says 'Maligning, not assaulting?'

A warhorse lays its ears flat against its neck.

Jiera says 'Oh indeed.'

Osara says 'I mean there is nothing there to assault, strictly speaking. So surely maligning?'

Jiera says 'Well I assure you that we don't run to wisdoms with gossip.'

Osara says 'In any event, Aine, you are quite right.'

Jiera says 'We're kept far too busy for that.'

Julianna stops using a water skin.

Osara whispers conspiratorially to Jiera, 'I said sorry!'

Aine peers into the fountain.

Osara thinks really hard.

Osara says 'Would you..like...things?'

Osara arches an eyebrow.

Aine says 'Have you any water source that isn't tainted by fish flopping in it?'

Aine looks around slowly, as if something is hidden in the room.

Osara gives a water skin to Aine.

Osara says 'Yes!'

Jiera says 'I could-- oh I can't.'

Jiera says 'I really need to see all the trainers.'

Roran leaves south riding a warhorse.

Osara says 'Before you go...'

Julianna says 'Light illumine you, Aine, Roran. '
Jiera says 'We could bake you a cake.'

Osara says 'I don't think we ever got a reply about the drool issue?'

Aine says 'And will get none.'

Julianna leaves north.

Jiera sputters choking on saliva.

Jiera coughs loudly.

Osara nods to herself. Very reassuring.

Aishana puts a cup of thready brown tea in a soft leather pouch.
