Name changes make things a bit muddled but I'll organize those as well.

As far as posting why people were de-remorted, it might shed a negative light on certain players and don't think this is the place for it. If someone wants to make their own thread about that go ahead but one could expect it to get derailed.

What I personally find annoying is that changing the names to old/deleted/other characters detracts from the history of characters.

For instance Xafelar has a history on his character, and so did the trolloc Stanislav. However, now the name of the one is slapped onto the other character and all the common/seperate histories are being melded together, or deleted (depends on how you look at it).

It kind of detracts from the principles of character seperation in my opinion. If you are not to get any benefits on one character from a whole other character, then this also skirts the edge on the principle of character seperation.

The same goes with for instance (these two come to the top of my head apart from Xafelar, I know more people got name changes lately, some DFs and DL/fades):

Jestin (Wept) > both characters with a big name and history, even is Wept was recreated some time ago. Basically one of them got sacrificed for the old reputation of the other.
Kryyg (Eviscerator) > Kryyg had a bad run in with Chosen, and lateron Eviscerator was clanned into Chosen (proving that char-seperation works from both the player and the clan he clanned into!). RPishly Kryyg would never have been accepted into the clan after the pissing contest in the mid-2000's.

Above are my ramblings RPisly, nothing bad intended about the players.

Pretty funny how far down I am on that, I faded well before most of the individuals. Definitely made fade before Troika.

Nice to see all these names again, brings back memories!

Btw, I think I faded in between Khwaji and Cadiz, if I remember correctly.
