The Northern Gate of Mayene
The massive north gate is heavily guarded. Tall iron portcullises protect
the city from attack, and small murder holes above the gate are barely
visible. A small alley leads off to the west, and looks to lead to seedier
parts of town. Tall towers dominate the view of the city to the south. The
stone road here is worn smooth.

Crenna says 'Although we haven't spoken to each other much, I've heard you are perhaps making Mayene your home?'
Marcus says 'That is true.'
Crenna says 'I'm glad to hear that.'
Crenna smiles happily.
Crenna says 'I noticed you were ready to defend Mayene when Sleven appeared.'
Marcus nods in agreement.
Crenna says 'Not everyone who visits our city shows such loyalty.'
Marcus says 'I've witnessed him kill innocent civilians.'
Crenna says 'It seemed you were quite quick to attack Sleven -- have you considered honing your combat skills further?'

It tastes like mulled wine.
Marcus nods in agreement.
Marcus says 'Perhaps one day.'
Crenna nods.
Crenna says 'Well determine one's direction in life is certainly not a decision to be made rashly. '
Crenna says 'I do want to say, however, that should you choose to consider enlisting with us, the Winged Guard, you will learn that we are more than soldiers to each other, but also family.'
Marcus says 'I have witnessed this.'
Crenna says 'Granted, I am in the recruiting division, and so I could profess myself as biased...but you own eyes and ears will be proof of the truth of what I say---oh glad to hear that.'
Crenna smiles.

A crystal lightstick begins to dim a little.
Marcus says 'I do not.'
Crenna says 'Wonderful.'
Crenna says 'Well, know that should you decide to apply to join the ranks, you meet the recruitments to become an applicant.'
Marcus nods in agreement.
Marcus says 'I'll keep that in mind.'
A crystal lightstick is definitely fading.

Crenna says 'I don't suppose you know where I can find...willowbark, some honey and some sunburst?'
Crenna says 'Although she said that she could use any herbs but that I might find those useful.'
Aldwyn says 'Willowbark it's been ages now but I seem to remember some growing just east of whitebridge in the woods to the south of the road'
Crenna looks disappointed.
Aldwyn says 'You could also give the Ogier in mirk two-headed serpents you kill in exchange for herbs but you never know what he'll have on hand'
Crenna says 'Oh that is interesting.'
Crenna says 'She did say the honey wasn't necessary as that was more for taste.'
Aldwyn looks at Crenna.
