You say 'Where would you hear such gossip!'

Dyemond says 'Yes, Charletto! You were right, this young man surely needs better equipment'

Dyemond gives some coins to Charletto.

Dyemond returns quickly to Fel.

Dyemond says 'Oh, I am learning to gossip like a Wisdom!'

Dyemond grins at you.

You chuckle politely.

You say 'Are YOU a Wisdom?'

Dyemond says 'And of course to heal, listen, talk...'

Felyrin looks you up and down appraisingly.

Dyemond says 'Not yet, but I hope to become one.'

You say 'Oh!'

You say 'In that case we are both in the same position!'

Felyrin reaches out and grabs your hand, shaking it up and down enthusiastically.

Dyemond says 'Well, seems like you are a bit more advanced, and have been apprentice for more time.'

Dyemond slightly blushes at such enthusiasm but cannot stop smiling.

Kadmiel has arrived from the north.

Dyemond ponders life, the universe, and everything.

You say 'I'm curious, what was it that made you want to be a Wsdom?'

Dyemond says 'Could we get some tea somewhere? There are lots of people here and it is a bit chilly today.'

Dyemond smiles happily.

Dyemond beckons everyone to follow her.

You now follow Dyemond.

Dyemond leaves north riding a gray palfrey.

Dyemond quickly buys two cups of tea and offers one to Fel.

Dyemond says 'Well, I think nothing that unusual. I've always wanted to use my brains to earn my bread, and to serve a community. To guide people, and
to heal whenever needed.'

Felyrin gabs the offered cup and wraps her fingers around it warmly as she sips.

Dyemond says 'I had been expected to either become a merchant, as most in my family, or just a quiet wife. I don't see much sense for me in either
option, truth be told.'

You say 'A merchant family? Are you from Kandor by chance?'

A governess glances proudly towards the Royal Palace.

A governess says 'The proud and noble order of the Lion Warden, this is something'
A governess says 'that everyone in the nation should know.'

A governess says 'The order is sworn to service here in Andor, protecting her interests.'

You say 'Oh, Lugard!'

Felyrin smiles brightly.

You say 'I have been there many times.'

Dyemond says 'No, Lugard. The Lusara family is rather huge, and has fingers in many trades.'

A well-traveled merchant says 'I'll exchange clan trinkets for a quest point. Give me 75 crowns and then when I nod at you, give me that item.'

A beggar begs weary for some alms.
A well-traveled merchant says 'We'll call it a trade.'

A beggar bellows 'Alms for the poor! Alms for the poor!'
A well-traveled merchant says 'If I don't exchange it, notify someone and they should fix it. One can hope at least!'

A well-traveled merchant says 'Oh, and for a crafting token, I'll exchange for abs, dodge, or combo.'

A well-traveled merchant says 'If you give me 3 crafting tokens, I'll give you a set of gold abs.'

Dyemond looks around at all the people with lots to say

You chuckle politely.

Dyemond says 'And you? Why have you decided to become a Wisdom?'

Dyemond sips her tea slowly, careful not to spill a single drop.

You say 'So many reasons. Most of all, because I grew up in Fal Dara.'

A governess says 'Yes, yes, children, the northlands are in a constant state of turmoil.'

A governess says 'The noble Borderlanders dedicate their lives and those of their families to fighting the Shadow.'

A governess says 'From Maradon to Fal Dara the brave soldiers battle to hold back the Blight.'

A governess says 'They say the Blight border is always moving...sometimes it recedes, sometimes'
A governess says 'it moves forward. Entire nations have been swallowed whole by it!'

A governess says 'Here, safely away from the reach of Shadowspawn, we often forget all of the'
A governess says 'sacrifices the Shienaran Lancers make to ensure our safety.'

A governess stares sadly to the north, lost in old memories.
A bartender hustles about the room, getting ready for new business.

A governess says 'Far to the north, beyond Tar Valon, lies the city of Fal Dara, eternally'
A governess says 'protecting the world of man from the Shadowspawn.'

You say 'It used to not be too bad, but with the raids...'

Felyrin looks down sadly for a second.

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'Yes, Wisdom Annalyn mentioned what it is like these days in the north.'

Dyemond frowns.

A crow looks at Dyemond.

You say 'The numbers of injured are growing, and I only could do so much.'

You say 'Before starting to learn from Vhalerie, my knowledge of healing was limited. I know more now, but still so much more to go.'

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'Yes, it often seems like the amount of things to learn is endless!'

Dyemond says 'Have you already picked a village?'

You say 'It was only after I left Fal Dara that I realized how much the whole world needs healing.'

A governess says 'Far to the north, beyond Tar Valon, lies the city of Fal Dara, eternally'
A governess says 'protecting the world of man from the Shadowspawn.'

A beggar begs governess for some alms.

Dyemond tells you 'looks like i chose the room poorly'

A beggar bellows 'Alms for the poor! Alms for the poor!'

A drunken fool leaves west.

You say 'I have traveled all over, but I am willing to go wherever I would be needed the most.'

Dyemond says 'Indeed. I first imagined picking a village in Murandy, but perhaps I'd be more needed somewhere else.'

You say 'I wouldn't want to step on anyone's toes!'

You chuckle politely.

Dyemond nods at you.

You say 'Many villages have Wisdoms already.'

You say 'Perhaps Emily, or Vhalerie would be able to suggest a place?'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

buy apple
A bartender tells you 'Enjoy it!'
You now have an apple.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.

eat apple
You eat the apple.

Felyrin munches on a fresh apple.

buy cake
A bartender tells you 'Enjoy it!'
You now have a cinnamon honeycake.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.

You give a cinnamon honeycake to Dyemond.

Dyemond says 'Yes, but I'd prefer to find the place myself. Somewhere I will fell I belong. My lesson with Kashvi on Listening to the Wind inspired me
so much.'

You say 'I hear the cakes here are delicious'

You say 'Maybe not as delicious as the ones Theresa makes, but good, nevertheless.'

Dyemond says 'Perhaps some village will just feel right. If not, I'll learn to feel right there anyways.'

Dyemond nods at you.

You say 'You mention Listening to the Wind.'

Dyemond nods at you.

You say 'What did Wisdom Kashvi teach you about it?'

Felyrin smiles brightly.

Dyemond says 'Well, we tried to tell the weather coming from the sea to the seaside, to warn the fishermen if needed. She discovered much more than I
of course. But...'

A beggar begs Dyemond for some alms.

A beggar bellows 'Alms for the poor! Alms for the poor!'

A man has arrived from the west.

Dyemond says 'I could feel the Wind, I could fell the two parts she was speaking of, and distinguish...something. It was fascinating. I've tried in
other places since. It will take years to master.'

Dyemond says 'Have you been learning it?'

You emote: Felyrin tilts her head to the side, as if listening.

You say 'I'm afraid I don't hear any wind here. It is much too noisy.'

Dyemond says 'Oh, it is probably not possible inside of buildings, let alone such noisy ones!'

Dyemond laughs merrily, tiny shallow wrinkles appearing by the corners of her eyes.

You say 'Perhaps we can practice together.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

Dyemond says 'Let's go right now? Probably a bit outside the city would be better.'

You say 'That sounds perfect'

Felyrin smiles brightly.

***Dyemond and Felyrin travel outside the city***

Braem Wood
The densely populated city of Caemlyn is just a stone's throw away, over
the massive city walls that edge out into the Braem Wood here. There is an
old murder-hole above, but there is no way to get to it from the woods. A
clearing in the forest is to the south, where Caemlyn executes its
criminals.
[ obvious exits: S ]
Zone: Four Kings
A crow is here flying around.
A gray palfrey prances skittishly nearby, being ridden by you.
Dyemond Lusara {Wisdom Applicant} is standing here, riding a gray palfrey.

peer crow
You peer closely at it, trying to figure it out.

Dyemond says 'Perhaps here, at the edge of the forest'

You say 'He looks suspicious.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

***They move and leave the crow and then return to the location***

Dyemond says 'Better without the bird.'

You say 'Ah, much better.'

You say 'And a calm little clearing as well.'

Dyemond looks around, carefully.

Dyemond says 'Yes, we are unlikely to be disturbed here.'

Felyrin takes in the surroundings, a satisfied expression on her face.

You say 'Where is it that you would start?'

Felyrin tilts her head at an angle again, closing her eyes.

Dyemond says 'The most important thing is to calm down sufficiently. I've been trying ever since Wisdom Kashvi showed me.'

Dyemond closes her eyes and breaths slowly and deeply.

Dyemond says 'Closing the eyes is the easy part, to filter out one sense.'

You say 'When I was young, my father taught me a calming exercise.'

Dyemond says 'Now let's slowly feel the air around us. Not just listen, but beyond that.'

You say 'He said his soldiers used to use it to stay calm even i nthe heat of battle, to focus.'

Dyemond says 'Yes, this is a good moment. How did they calm down?'

Dyemond keeps breathing consiusly, the muscles in her face relaxing.

You say 'He said he would imagine a void, and to let the world just fall away, a flame in front of him, to put his emotions and fears.'

Dyemond nods slowly.

Dyemond says 'Sounds good. Let's imagine it. Let's feed all the fear and struggles, and insecurity to the flame.'

You say 'I can't say I ever mastered it perfectly, but for me, slowing my breathing, closing my eyes, and letting everything else fall away seemed to
work.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

Felyrin keeps her eyes closed, breathing slowly.

look
You can't see anything, your eyes are closed!

Dyemond says 'Yes, let's keep going. What we are looking for lies behind the usual perception of our senses.'

weath
The temperature is 58 degrees.
The sky is rainy, and a breezy wind comes from the north.

Felyrin's dress rustles in the slight breeze of the day.

Dyemond says 'Let's go a bit deeper. Beyond the voices of the birds, beyond the smell of the trees, beyond the warmth of the sun.'

Dyemond says 'I feel something. Something slightly unsettling in the air, like a tickle on the skin.'

Dyemond says 'Do you feel it?'

You say 'It's like a Light. I think...'

You say 'More than just the wind.'

Dyemond says 'Perhaps. It is warm, and it really tickles on the naked skin on my neck and hands and face.'

Dyemond says 'I don't think it is the breeze or the sun. This is more intense, when I focus on it.'

You say 'And you only felt this once before, with Kashvi?'

Dyemond says 'And a few times on my own, it's different every time'

Dyemond opens her eyes.

Dyemond says 'What I am missing is interpretation. It gets a little bit easier every time to feel things, various things depending on where I am and
what is the weather, and what it will be.'

Dyemond says 'But I am too inexperienced to interpret it so far.'

Dyemond says 'Have you felt it? Have you been practicing too, with Vhalerie?'

You say 'My mother always thought I had an unnatural sense for knowing the changing of the seasons, and which herbs would be in bloom when we went
searching.'

You say 'I think in a sense, but most of my time has been spent on herb lore with Vhalerie.'

get kaf pack
You get some brown kaf beans from a backpack.

Dyemond nods at you.

Felyrin nibbles on a kaf bean.

You say 'Kaf is my favorite.'

Dyemond says 'I hadn't tried before the lesson with Kashvi. Probably because I had grown up in a town, we didn't really care as much for seasons as
people in the villages.'

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'Mine too, kaf is awesome. But tremalking tea is not bad either.'

You say 'Is Tremalking Tea common? I hear there is an island very far away.'

You say 'I have traveled far, but never quite so far as that!'

Dyemond says 'One older cousin has been earning a fortune on it!'

You say 'Oh right, you probably have some great connections, coming from a merchant family.'

You wink suggestively at Dyemond.

Dyemond nods in agreement.

You stroke your chin thoughtfully.

Dyemond says 'Yeah, but connections aren't enough, without passion for trade.'

You say 'I just realized that there are a couple Wisdoms awake right now.'

You say 'Have you met them?'

Dyemond says 'Yes, I had breakfast with Emily and Annalyn'

You say 'I have been able to spend time with some, but definitely not all of them.'

Dyemond says 'Have never met Martha. Have you? Perhaps this is a good moment to meet.'

You say 'I have not. Nor Emily either.'

You say 'Do you think they would be upset with a surprise visit?'

Felyrin grins knowingly.

Dyemond says 'Not if we bring cookies!'

Dyemond grins at you.

You say 'That is an excellent idea!'

You say 'Everyone loves cookies.'

You say 'Do you know where we could find some?'

Dyemond says 'Where should we look for them? Martha is the Wisdom of Alindear, perhaps there?'

You stroke your chin thoughtfully.

Dyemond says 'Well, I baked this morning, and still have some left.'

Dyemond searches her pack for a moment

You say 'Perfect!'

Dyemond takes out a small but full sack of chocolate chip cookies.

Dyemond opens it and shows Felyrin the sweet content.

Felyrin breathes in the sweet smell of fresh cookies.

Felyrin sighs.

You say 'They smell delicious.'

You say 'I don't see how anyone could turn down an introduction such as that.'

Dyemond quickly closes the sack and puts it on top of the pack before securely closing it.

You are hungry.

Dyemond says 'So, where to find her? Aliander or Whitebridge?'

You say 'We could check both!'

Dyemond says 'Let's run to Aliander first!'

Felyrin nods her head, bells in her hair jingling.

***Dyemond and Felyrin go to Alindear***

Felyrin looks about.

Dyemond asks crier for directions to the Wisdom's house politely.

You say 'We appear the be the only ones here, other than that ambitious man and the crier here.'

Dyemond nods and thanks the crier, as he points to the west.

Dyemond leaves west riding a gray palfrey.
You follow Dyemond.

Village of Alindaer
[ obvious exits: E ]
Zone: Tar Valon Road South of Tar Valon
A large stone well is here.
A gray palfrey prances skittishly nearby, being ridden by you.
Dyemond Lusara {Wisdom Applicant} is standing here, riding a gray palfrey.
A grand master of the guild ambles by with confidence.

Dyemond looks around.

You say 'Perhaps she is out traveling.'

Dyemond walks to a door of a small but well tended to house, with herbs drying in the window.

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond knocks at the door and waits.

Dyemond says 'Perhaps she is.'

Felyrin idly twists an end of her hair.

Dyemond glances inside through the window.

Dyemond checks the herbs drying visibly inside.

You say 'Do you know what town Emily is the Wisdom of?'

Dyemond says 'That's a lot of broomweed!'

You chuckle politely.

Dyemond says 'I met her in Whitebridge today. I know Annalyn is the Wisdom of Lockshear. Thena of Katar, I think. Vhalerie of Hinderstrap'

You say 'I visited Hinderstap once before.'

Dyemond says 'Ah, she will see us in whitebridge!'

You say 'A quiet, perfect little village.'

Dyemond says 'Let's ride.'

**Dyemond and Felyrin head toward Whitebridge***

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'During the daytime for sure'

Dyemond smiles at you.

You say 'It was during the daytime, yes. Is it not a friendly place at night?'

Dyemond pats a gray palfrey on his head.

You say 'The Inn looked warm and cozy.'

Dyemond says 'I've heard it gets weird at night, and dangerous.'

***Some more traveling...***

Dyemond says 'Well, some villages are dangerous even in the day!'

You say 'I have heard some seedy characters can sneak around in Lugard. Have you ever run into problems there? I stick to the main roads and squares.'

Dyemond says 'Oh, I do not really worry in Lugard, my family is well established there. Even the shady people need some honest businessmen around.'

***The horses get tired during the travel, but Dyemond and Felyrin finally reach Whitebridge***

You say 'Sometimes I wonder if there's anything we can give to the horses to help them run just a little further.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

You say 'I think I see smoke coming from that chimney down by the Wisdom house.'

Dyemond says 'Well, usually some rest, food, and water does the trick. But I sometimes wonder, whether they'd react to a vial of yellow fluid like
us.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

Dyemond leaves south riding a gray palfrey.
You follow Dyemond.

A mangy cat scurries around trying not to get stepped on.
Beathas Navinen, the Wisdom of Whitebridge stands at the ready.

A mangy cat leaves west.

Dyemond knocks on the Woodendoor.

Shuffling can be heard from inside.

Someone shouts from inside 'We don't allow inactives in, Go away!' .
You say 'I have mixed a few of those under supervision by Vhalerie.'

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'Yes, I've been learning to mix too, and have dared to give a few to soldiers riding to battle already. Of course after having tested my
art on myself!'

You say 'Odd, I swear I thought someone was home.'

A Wisdom washes her hands.

You chuckle politely.

You say 'I wouldn't want to accidentally poison anyone!'

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'Oh, just "accidentally"?'

Dyemond grins at you.

You say 'Of course!'

You say 'Maybe I add a little something to give it a bad taste for Theresa...'

You say 'But only sometimes!'

Dyemond says 'Well, I've already considered "accidentally" dropping some laxative herbs in someone's beer or tea.'

Felyrin tries to look as innocent as possible.

Dyemond says 'Of course I haven't done it, we need to hold ourselves to high standards!'

You say 'Yes, yes, of course!'

Martha has arrived from the south.

Martha takes off her duster as she sweeps in and drapes it over a chair.

You emote: Felyrin jumps involuntarily as someone walks in unexpectedly.

Dyemond looks suddenly very innocent too and greets the Wisdom politely!

You say 'Hello!'

Dyemond says 'Good morning, Wisdom Martha!'

Martha turns her head to the side and regards the two women before her.

Martha says 'Morning, ladies.'

Felyrin looks at Martha appraisingly.

You say 'Martha, is it?'

Dyemond looks at Martha.

Martha slaps at her riding trousers, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Martha says 'Aye, Martha. And who are you two?'

Dyemond says 'I am Dyemond Lusara, one of the Wisdom Applicants.'

You say 'You must be the Wisdom Martha, that I've heard about from Vhalerie.'

Felyrin smiles brightly.

You say 'It is a pleasure to finally meet you.'

Martha smiles slyly. "Can't imagine what Vhalerie has had to say about me."

You say 'I am Vhalerie's Apprentice, Felyrin.'

Martha says 'Pleasure to meet you both.'

Martha turns her back to you and begins to rifle through sheaves of dried herbs.

Dyemond uses the moment to pick the sack of cookies out of her backpack.

Martha throws up her hand, back to you. "Do say something about yourself."

Felyrin nudges dyemond with her elbow.

Martha appears to find what she is looking for -- for just a second, before returning it and continuing her search.

You whisper to Dyemond 'The cookies!'

Dyemond says 'Oh, I grew up in Lugard and have started some training with Reader Werma there. She said I had a good head for learning but insisted I
finally ask for formal apprenticeship.'

Dyemond nods briefly at Felyrin, trying not to lose the thought.

Martha says 'Werma?!'

Martha chuckles pleasantly. "Let me tell you about the time that old bat drank me under the---"'

Martha chuckles again but does not finish her sentence.

Dyemond says 'I know to read and write, and solidly count, but I simply lack the passion for trade that is usual in my family. I prefer to solve other
types of problems.'

Felyrin covers her mouth with a hand to stifle a laugh.

Dyemond smiles brightly.

Martha grabs a broom and uses it to poke at a hanging bundle of herbs.

Martha says 'Aye, what other types of problems?'

Dyemond says 'I always admired, how Werma managed to guide us through various difficulties, in spite of the men originally thinking otherwise.'

Martha turns her head over her shoulder to look at Dyemond, still batting at the herb bundles.

Martha says 'Aye, the men of Murandy do think much of themselves.'

Martha turns her head back to consider the source of a crashing noise.

Martha says 'Aha'

Dyemond says 'Like when my Grandfather wanted to invest in lots and lots of Amadician flour, as it was cheap. Werma saved us a lot of stomachache,
when she convinced them to check for worms before the deal.'

Martha picks up a bundle of herbs.

You say 'As do the men of many places it seems...'

Dyemond says 'And in the end, Grandpa believed it had been his idea all along!'

Martha says 'Classic.'

You say 'Worms can add a good source of nutrients when in dire need.'

Martha picks up a dried bundle of herbs and brings it to the table.

Dyemond says 'Depends on the worms, probably. And I prefer my bread without them.'

Felyrin nods her head, bells in her hair jingling.

You say 'I have to agree!'

Felyrin laughs, her smile lighting up the room.

Martha blinks.

Dyemond says 'Or when she convinced two families to put aside their differences, because they were ruining themselves in the battle.'

Martha looks at Dyemond.

Martha looks at you.

Dyemond says 'And I couldn't even remember all the times she fixed our bruises, broken bones, or fevers.'

You say 'The soldiers up north would tell me stories of eating the worm-riddled hard bread when returning from long scouting missions into the
blight.'

You say 'I did not envy them.'

Martha says 'Some nice texture.'

Martha gets a chunk of pale yellow sulphur from a backpack.

Martha gives a chunk of pale yellow sulphur to Beathas Navinen.

Beathas Navinen hastily puts the sulphur into a large bottle and seals it tightly.

Beathas Navinen says 'This will do, I believe.'

You arch an eyebrow.

Martha slaps down the bundle of dried herb -- it sure looks like tabac -- on the table.

You say 'Is that sulphur? Used in soap I believe?'

Martha says 'Mostly I like to put it under Emily's pillow and see how long it takes her to figure out why she smells of rotten egg.'

Dyemond says 'All those are the types of problems I'd prefer to deal with for a living, than just counting or "wiving".'

Dyemond chuckles politely.

Dyemond ponders life, the universe, and everything.

You chuckle politely.

Martha says 'But aye, soap I spose.'

You say 'Poor Emily!'

Martha says 'You h'aint but barely met her, don't go all poor Emily on me.'

Dyemond says 'I've made some soap without sulphur. Perhaps it gives some extra cleaning properties? Or just the smell?'

Dyemond gets a packet of soap from a belt pack.

Dyemond gives you a packet of soap.
Felyrin nods at Martha. 'You make a good point!'

Dyemond quickly stops smiling and doesn't add any thoughts on other Wisdoms.

Martha pulls a knife from her belt and pulls up a seat at the table.

Felyrin sniffs at the packet of soap.

Martha looks up at both of them, eyes full of mirth.

Dyemond says '"We've brought some cookies!"'

Martha says 'You lot are quite polite.'

You say 'Is that... mint leaves I smell?'

You give a packet of soap to Dyemond.

Dyemond puts the open sack of sweet smelling cookies on the table

Dyemond nods at you.

Martha says 'We don't all take ourselves as seriously as Tower wenches.'

Martha picks up a cookie and eyes it briefly before taking a bite.

Martha says 'Buttery. At least one of you can bake.'

Dyemond says 'Well, I find that starting out polite is the better strategy than taking example from some... less polite people right away.'

Martha says 'Annalyn certainly can't.'

You say 'You're lucky you got one of Dyemond's cookies...'

Dyemond says 'It is a family recipe, I've added some Tarabon chocolate chips.'

You say 'I might occasionally mix in some... extra ingredients.'

Martha nods to Dyemond.

Martha says 'Like what, dear?'

Dyemond glances at Felyrin cautiously.

Martha uses the knife in her other hand to trim dried herb away from the stem of the plant before her.

Martha does not seem to notice the silence and continues trimming tabac.

You say 'I may have added some sheepstongue root to the last batch...'

You say 'Makes it horribly bitter.'

You say 'But they still smell delicious!'

Dyemond says 'And who did you bake that trap for?'

Dyemond grins evilly.

You say 'Theresa may have been hungry that day.'

You say 'I promised to bake her a special batch.'

You say 'You might have seen her.'

Felyrin puffs out her cheeks.

Martha nods as if listening, but is now focused on finely slicing the dried tabac.

You say 'We might prank each other once in a while, but she's a wonderful person.'

Martha says 'Well if you pranked people you didn't like, that wouldn't be any fun, would it?'

Martha says 'It would just be cruel, arguably.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

You chuckle politely.

You say 'Yes, of course.'

Dyemond says 'I think I'll be careful next time Felyrin offers me tea or cookies.'

Martha says 'Aye, she might like you.'

You gasp in astonishment.

Martha chuckles to herself.

Martha sets the knife down point-first intp the table.

You say 'I'd never!'

Felyrin slowly slips something back into her pack.

Dyemond says 'I certainly hope so!'

Dyemond grins at you.

Martha gathers up the dried leaf fluff in a gnarled hand.

Martha reaches into a pouch at her back and pulls out a very silly-looking ivory pipe that appears to be in the shape of a whale.

Dyemond says 'We were admiring your village just earlier today, Wisdom! It looks well tended to.'
Felyrin nibbles on some more dried kaf beans.

Martha says 'Alindaer? It mostly keeps itself.'

Dyemond says 'And you have an enormous amount of broomweed drying in your window!'

Martha says 'Got some merchants who travel through and pay good coin to keep the streets clean.'

Dyemond nods at Martha.

Martha says 'The Tower also likes to keep up ...appearances.'

Martha points at Dyemond. "Please do slide that candle this way."

Martha tucks the dried tabac into the pipe.

Dyemond quickly obeys and moves the candle to Martha.

You say 'Is that fine Two Rivers tabac?'

You say 'I've never picked up the habit, but I've heard they have some of the best.'

Martha snaps off a bit of the discarded stem and holds it in the candle's flame until it catches.

Martha lights her pipe without a hitch.

Dyemond moves the candle back to the center of the table.

Martha says 'Aye, it certainly is. I've got a bit of an entrepreneurial impulse lately and have been importing it.'

Martha says 'It is quite flavorful. '

Dyemond nods in agreement.

You say 'Dyemond might be able to pull a few connections as well!'

You wink suggestively at Dyemond.

You say 'You know a merchant or two.'

Dyemond says 'And there are several competitors on the market, which seems to affect the prices favourable for the Two Rivers.'

Dyemond nods at you.

Martha takes a small puff and considers this.

Martha looks over at Felyrin. 'Did you already say where you came from?'

Dyemond says 'I think uncle Meron could do with a fellow investor to buy a few more wagons for his trade route. '
Felyrin nods her head, bells in her hair jingling.

You say 'Fal Dara is where I was raised.'

Martha looks Felyrin up and down before saying 'Ah, you jingle like a Shienarian yes'

Martha nods at Dyemond.

You say 'My mother is a seamstress there. well known to the locals.'

Martha says 'Mm, did she teach you how to sew?'

You say 'I can patch up a few simple things, but it was never an expertise of mine.'

Martha takes another puff and inhales a 'Pity'.

Martha exhales a 'It's helpful to know how to suture.'

Dyemond takes a better look at Felyrin's dress and cloak.

You say 'I spent more time with the local Wisdom, outside of the walls gathering herbs for the bandages and concoctions she would use to help treat
the soldiers.'

Felyrin moves her cloak slightly to hide a particularly rough patch job on her shirt.

Martha nods in agreement.

Martha says 'And why do the two of you want to be Wisdoms?'

Dyemond glances away from Felyrin back to Martha.

Martha gets a leather water flask from a backpack.

Martha drinks water from a leather water flask.

Martha puts a leather water flask in a backpack.

Felyrin frowns slightly.

Dyemond says 'Well, it looks like an excellent job for someone who wants to use her brains. As I said, I've always admired the way Werma kept our
community together, safer, and saner. I want to do the same somewhere. And not just be someone's wife or accountant.'

Felyrin looks a little sad.

You say 'For me, it was seeing the raids on Fal Dara getting increasingly worse. The wounded and dying became more and more numerous.'

Martha nods along, biting the step of the pipe.

You say 'I could only help so much, and wanted to learn more so that I could help treat those in need.'

You say 'Especially after my father did not survive his return after a battle near the walls.'

Dyemond frowns.

Martha appears placid and nods along.

You say 'I was advised to head south and find others that could help teach me more.'

Martha says 'What we could've done differently is a great motivator.'

You say 'It was only after I left that I realized how much more of the world is in need of help as well.'

Felyrin's eyes turn to the ground.

Felyrin raises a hand to wipe away a tear quickly, trying to hide it.

Martha turns to Dyemond.

Martha says 'Have you apprenticed to someone?'

Dyemond says 'I've had a great lesson with Kashvi, but it isn't clear whether she is taking me on as her Apprentice. I would definitely like that.'

Dyemond says 'The other wisdoms I've met earlier today didn't know either, perhaps I need to do some more convincing.'

Dyemond says 'But I hope to learn from all the wisdoms, and I continue my self study in the meantime.'

Felyrin pops another kaf bean in her mouth and returns the rest to her pack.

You put some brown kaf beans in a backpack.

Martha says 'Well, do make sure you follow up with Kashvi, then.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

Martha says 'I think it's about time for my nap, but probably one or both of you should make note of this encounter so others may know you.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

Martha knocks on the Woodendoor.

Shuffling can be heard from inside.

Martha says 'A pleasure.'

The door swings open.

Martha wanders off

Martha leaves north.

The door swings shut and is locked.

Dyemond says 'Each of them is unique.'

Dyemond looks at you.

You say 'For sure!'

Dyemond says 'I wonder what kind of Wisdoms will the two of us turn out to be.'

You say 'A wide array of personalities.'

You say 'Although none of them have been quite to formal as the Aes Sedai that I've met.'

Dyemond nods at you.

Dyemond says 'Well, they are closer to the people around them. The Aes Sedai always keep a certain distance. I think the age plays a part.'

Dyemond says 'A distant relative is in the Tower. All the family members she grew up with or knew before the Tower, all of them are already at the
cemetery. It probably helps to be more formal and distant.'

You say 'I wonder if they have any healing secrets to such long life.'

Dyemond says 'Perhaps it is just the One Power? Who knows.'

You say 'Maybe I will ask Vhalerie next time I see her!'

Felyrin smiles brightly.

Dyemond says 'I am certainly happy to have a different path in life!'

Felyrin nods her head, bells in her hair jingling.

You say 'It was lovely meeting you today.'

Dyemond says 'And we were wise to bring the cookies! '

Dyemond says 'And you!'

You say 'I hope we can see more of each other.'

Dyemond nods in agreement.

Felyrin smiles brightly.

Dyemond says 'We surely should!'

You say 'We can go herb hunting together some time!'

Dyemond says 'Even though I'll have to keep vigilant for your pranks!'
