Dorthy says 'the Ogiers built the Tower, right?'

Elmitsu says 'Yes! And all of the fanciful buildings you see around the city!'
Dorthy says 'they're not as tall as you'd expect.'
Elmitsu leads Dorthy through the garden path.
Dorthy tries not step on anything that looks alive.
Elmitsu says 'We are going to one of my favorite places.'
Dorthy says 'I hope it's the kitchen.'
Elmitsu whispers to Dorthy 'I like to watch them practice.'
Elmitsu rubs her hands together excitedly.
The Warders' Practice Yard
A large expanse of bare ground at least fifty paces across and nearly twice
as long stretches forth, its earth beaten hard. At intervals around it
under the trees stand wooden stands holding quarterstaffs and practice
swords made of strips of wood bound loosely together, and a few real swords
and axes and spears. A large gray stone building lies to the east, home to
the warder students and those warders who are not sharing quarters with
their Aes Sedai in the main Tower structure itself.

Dorthy says 'well. it's probably hard to study with all this going on.'
Dorthy nudges Elmitsu suggestively. They have an understanding.

Elmitsu looks on wistfully at the various training scenes unfolding around the yard. She rounds on Dorthy once more.
Elmitsu says 'Did you say you wanted to see the Kitchens?'
Dorthy says 'I think so.'
Dorthy says 'are they serving?'
Elmitsu threads her arm through the crook of Dorthy's as if the Accepted had been practicing on a needle.
Elmitsu says 'Come. I will get you something to eat!'
Dorthy stops riding a black stallion.
Elmitsu says 'Mistress Laras won't let you bring a horse into the kitchen. She says it's un-san-i-tar-y.'
Elmitsu continues yammering on as she illustrates the various features of her tour.

Study of the Brown Ajah
Tall, arched windows in the northern wall open to a balcony, providing a
choice view of the Erinin as it flows south from the Borderlands. Half the
seating in the room is drawn up around the windows, showing that the
occupants appreciate the panorama. The remaining seats are drawn up in
circles of six to eight, allowing Brown Sisters to discuss the furtherance
of knowledge, or new theories in an informal atmosphere. Colorful wall
hangings depicting still lifes decorate the pale white walls.

Conservatory of the Blue Ajah
During daytime, bright light floods in from tall, arched windows set in the
eastern wall, which offer a view of the many spires of Tar Valon as well as
the eastern bank of the Erinin. On clear days, the peaks of the Dragonwall
can be seen, far away to the east. Bookshelves, tables, maps and charts are
all present as the Blue sisters prepare for whatever tasks currently occupy
them or as they plan business away from the Tower. On one wall hang two
large portraits of Ciel Sedai and Adaire Sedai, with white ribbons of
mourning tied into the latticework of the frames.

Den of the Red Ajah
This room reflects the cool nature of the Red Ajah, the furnishings just as
severe as the rest of the room. A gilded chair rests near the center of the
room, accompanied by an equally elaborate dark wooden desk. Chairs have
been drawn up to the tall, arched windows, which look over the western side
of Tar Valon, the western bank of the Erinin and Dragonmount beyond,
serving as a constant reminder of the purpose of the Red Ajah.

Hall of Inferences of the White Ajah
The oval room is entirely filled by a single immense table, ornately
carved chairs with white leather cushions placed around it at equidistant
intervals. Behind each chair sits a large blackboard, smeared with chalk
dust accumulated over many years. Slender soaring windows pierce the high
walls, stretching to the distant ceiling. A large arch to the north leads
out of the chamber, heavy wooden doors swinging on cast-iron hinges.

confluence of the river Erinin beyond Southharbor, as the river starts on
its journey to Tear. Pots and plants dot the balcony outside the windows.
Chairs have been drawn up near the windows and vases containing bouquets of
of yellow flowers have been placed nearby. Several desks and clusters of
chairs have been distributed around the room, allowing for informal
discussion of Yellow Sisters' research and studies.

Large, leaded glass windows surround the room on all sides, save the
southern where a large doorway leads out into a antechamber. The room
itself is dominated by a large wooden table around which sits at least
fifty matching chairs, something close to a record for the White Tower. In
the middle of the table are an assortment of unused parchments, quill pens
and stoppered ink jars. A small stand off to one side of the room holds a
large number of glass cups and a large pitcher of chilled water. An
inscription in fine lettering is etched upon the windows.

Tall, arched windows on the east wall offer a view of the Tower Grounds and
the spires and sky bridges which dominate the city of Tar Valon. A few
cushioned chairs have been drawn up to the windows. The other seats in the
room consist of tiered benches carved elaborately with oak leaves and
swords, rising in a semi-circle around a central platform. Each place on
the benches has been marked by a green silk cushion. A large oaken table
for strategic planning stands on the platform, ready for use.

This side of the square is the southern section of the Tower Square.
In the center is the walled off White Tower. To the south a large
boulevard opens up leading to the Southharbor. To the north you see
the southern gate of the Tower grounds. The square continues east
and west.
A large banner rests here, depicting a map of Tar Valon.
A flatbed wagon rocks back and forth on spoked wheels.
A marble bench, flecked with gold and bronze, adorns the floor.
An oil lamp, set in a steel cage, hangs from a high wooden pole.
An elaborately sculpted marble fountain splashes merrily.
A stout wooden barrel stands nearby.
Stela the Forester is standing here, riding a warhorse.

A brightly dressed man with a ready smile stands here.

Stela peers down at you, blinking innocently.

The fountain splashes merrily, light sparkling beautifully on the surface of the water.

Elmitsu says 'I find them, I shelve them, I only read a couple of them . . .'

Stela pauses momentarily, her shaggy figure contemplating books and that sort of thing.
Elmitsu amends, "Aelrena Sedai made me work with the clerks for a -month.-"
Stela bobs her head slowly.
Stela says 'what do clerks do.'
Stela cocks her head to the side, curious to know what a clerk is.
Elmitsu thinks, scrunching up her face, "I had to copy letters and help rebind the books. It made my hands cramp."
Elmitsu looks around to see who might be within earshot, "You don't know her, do you?"
Stela says 'Ogier are much older than most people. I remember when she wore gowns like yours.'
Stela inspects your banded dress momentarily.
Elmitsu extends her hands to the Ogier as if they were grievously injured. A casual inspection yields they are, in fact, not.
Stela says 'she was a quiet girl.'
A black cat has arrived from the east.
Elmitsu says 'Don't tell her I . . . just. I'm not complaining!'
Elmitsu juts out her chin.
Stela says 'Ogier do not have time to spend on tattling, so I fear you are safe for now.'
Stela lets a rumbling belly laugh go.
Elmitsu says 'I think she's out of the Tower anyway.'

Elmitsu says 'I thought all the books were -here-, but surely she'll find some to bring back.'

Elmitsu soldiers through her bravado with another sweet smile.
Roberto says 'I guess for accepted, tea is the stronger drink.'
Elmitsu says 'There's wine too!'
Roberto lets out a sigh of relief.
Elmitsu shows Roberto the robust red wine she'd presented him.
Roberto says 'Wine please. '
Elmitsu says 'Have you ever tried oosquai?'
Roberto drinks mulled wine from a goblet of robust red wine.
Elmitsu confides, "I got Trajega drunk on it when she was a Novice, and then we put chickens in the Red Den. Is it your duty as a member of the Thiefbane to report me?"
Roberto a grin spreads on his face, the warmth returning to his eye and soon his normal smirk is back.
Roberto snickers softly.
Elmitsu looks as though she might burst into tears at any moment if she were, in fact, reported.
Roberto says 'Accepted, while we do happen to have slightly more leeway than most in the city, not even the dumbest Thiefbane, and there were many, would ever get involved in Tower business. '
Elmitsu smiles a touch more confidently as her concern evaporates like so much dew.
Elmitsu says 'Well, thank you for coming to see me!'
Roberto says 'I don't believe there is much you do that they don't already know, but I will let you in on a little secret if you promise not to tell.'
Elmitsu smiles slyly.

Roberto leans a little closer and his smirk turns into a mischievous grin like his younger years.
Elmitsu cranes a little on her tiptoes as she reads Roberto's flair for suspense.
Roberto says 'There is very little that you all do that they didn't also do themselves.'
Elmitsu says 'You think Aelrena Sedai put chickens in the study?'
Roberto leans back against his horse, taking another sip of the wine, enjoying it immensely.
Elmitsu 's eyes, large as saucers, widen even further as she absorbs this perhaps obvious truth.
Roberto says 'Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. That is something you would have to find out by yourself. I do seem to recall a story about a cow left loose in the novice quarters once.'
Elmitsu says 'Well, probably not her. But maybe Ashlynn Sedai. She seems fun.'
Elmitsu mouths the word, "cow" under her breath.

Roberto looks around pointedly, indicating that they are in the middle of a crowd. His gaze had become slightly more intense even as his smirk and demeanor never slipped.
Elmitsu adds, stealing a glimpse of Roberto from the corner of her eye, "I got in trouble for talking about it too much, but . . . I want to know what happened."
Roberto says 'well Accepted, you summoned me here to talk about Thiefbane, and I am going to tell you something the man who found me a long time ago told me. Rico sat me down with a dagger in his hand.'

Roberto says 'He told me that if I ever saw him getting into Tower business, to stick him with his own knife in his heart instead. That would be a much safer situation.’
Elmitsu whispers to Roberto 'The Aes Sedai -are- scary.'
Roberto mumbles under his breath "Not that it didn't stop him from trying to find every Sedai's chambers at least once."
Roberto snickers softly.
Elmitsu looks as though she can't decide whether to smile or frown.
Elmitsu says 'How long have you been in the Thiefbane?'
Roberto says 'Only if you let them think they are, or they don't get what they want, or they disagree with you, or if they are having a bad day, or if you ask their age...'
Roberto stops as he realized she had asked a question while he was meandering on.

Roberto says 'We are not generally called in for people who would be captured.'

Elmitsu rephrases her question, "Have you killed a lot of criminals?"
Roberto he says his next words with a seemingly very clear conscience.

Roberto points over towards the inn not far from the square.
Roberto says 'Got one there last week. '
Roberto says 'Did you find that body too?'
Elmitsu cannot tell whether to be intimidated or impressed or both.
Roberto looks at her intently while taking another sip.
A fishmonger has arrived from the east.
Elmitsu at last lands somewhere between the two emotions. Her voice does not quake, admirably, "No . . . just the one."
Elmitsu says 'You were a spy?'
A black cat has arrived from the west.
Roberto says 'I was, but the position of Spymaster is more of a title. My time as a spy was outside of the Thiefbane. I believe the tower has the chronicles.'
Elmitsu whispers to Roberto 'I am pretty sneaky too.'
Elmitsu says 'Can you teach me some tricks?'
Roberto looks as her as he takes a sip of his wine and changes the subject.
Roberto says 'I have a question for you first. So, this wine. It is from Baerlon. A nice vintage. Tell me, was that coincidence or did you start looking into the Thiefbane already.'
Elmitsu says 'I wish that I could say I intended that coincidence, but I do not want to lose your trust.'
Roberto sits down on a bench.
Roberto sheathes a sharp, red stone dagger into a camouflaged hood.

Roberto says 'So, you haven't even found our headquarters. I thought you were sneaky.'

Roberto says 'I can't teach you if you can't teach yourself.'

Elmitsu grouses, "I bet I could find it though."
Roberto says 'So you came into a meeting unprepared?'
Roberto takes another sip of his wine, intently studying her reaction.
Elmitsu says 'I came prepared, but in a different way. I brought snacks.'
Roberto whispers something to a young thieftaker.
Elmitsu mumbles, "You sound like an Aes Sedai."
Roberto says 'Maybe I have picked up some of their tricks over the years.'
Roberto grins evilly.
Roberto says 'And I know more than a few that have learned some from us, but it takes time.'
Elmitsu fidgets with the ribbon in her hair.
Roberto says 'You ready for the one last thing I will tell you about the Thiefbane this meeting? I want to start there, then see what you can find yourself. '
Elmitsu emote: Elmitsu's tiny body thrums with excitement, "YES!"
Roberto says 'Have you ever heard of the process to get into Thiefbane. We call it Target. Can you guess why?'
Elmitsu says 'You target a criminal as part of your initiation?'
Roberto says 'No.'

Roberto says 'he smiles as he drains the last of the wine before standing up.

Elmitsu 's brow is knit in confusion. She studies Roberto like an upside-down map.
Elmitsu also stands, mirroring Roberto.
Roberto says 'Accepted, to get into Thiefbane you become the target. Your picture is sent to every group we have a treaty with. It is also sent to every Thiefbane that is active, as well as the other applicants. There is one order: to try to kill on sight. Your job is to not only survive, but thrive when every known nation in the world is watching out for you.'
Elmitsu gawps for air like a fish.
Roberto puts his hand over his heart, then to the hilt of his dagger, slightly inclining his head towards the Accepted.
Elmitsu says, a touch lamely, "I'm glad you survived."
Roberto snickers softly.
Elmitsu says 'I accidentally let Sheriam's ferret get killed by a dreadlord.'
Elmitsu says 'Trinket would probably not make a very good Thiefbane member.'
Roberto says 'Trinket was very good at getting into places others can't fit. All you need to do was show him something shiny.'
Roberto winks suggestively at Elmitsu.
Elmitsu says 'Oh, yeah. He follows me all over. We have a lot in common.'
Elmitsu says 'I just don't bring him back to Sheriam because I think he wants to be free.'
Elmitsu looks around, her neck craning as she takes in the Tower.
Elmitsu says 'I think we all do.'
Roberto says 'Oh I thought the similarities were short attention spans, not realizing a conversation is ended, and an overly excited face?'
Elmitsu is either offended or titillated if her flushed cheeks are any indication.
Roberto grins as the Accepted.
Elmitsu says 'I do not mean to take too much of your time.'
Elmitsu emote: Elmitsu scuffs her foot again.
Elmitsu says 'Light bless you for your good humor, Roberto. Thank you for meeting with me.'
Roberto says 'Not at all, but I did have an extremely long night clearing some bandits in the south. I am not as young as once was and the Baerlon bathhouse is calling.'
Roberto says 'You did once say you had an interest in the Blue yes?'
Elmitsu emote: Elmitsu nods perfunctorily.
Roberto says 'Then I want to meet with you soon. You can't leave the tower, but it has vast resources. Show me how good you are at finding out what others don't want to tell you. '

Roberto says 'but for the love of the light, don't try to snoop into the Tower, choose us instead, you never know who will be watching.'
Elmitsu says 'That sounds like fun.'
The Caemlyn city alarm sounds loudly in the distance.
Roberto’s hands reach to his knives as the young thiefcatcher runs up to him, whispering something in his ear.
Roberto says 'It looks like Darkspawn are attacking in Andor. My bath will have to wait. Don't take too long, Accepted, I don't want to be disappointed.'
Roberto winks suggestively at Elmitsu.

When you asked to meet I thought you just had some general questions, I was not prepared for something like this! Thank god for that give minute warning on discord of what I was walking into, and thanks for bring some RP inbetween the PK. That city alarm really did pop off like that and I had to go to Andor.
