Based on the Wheel of Time Books. Theresa grew up in Amadicia as an orphan. She really had no guidance as a young girl and had no thoughts of what she was going to do. Living on the streets is all she knew. For the most part, even with the Children of Light enforcing their rules on the town, peace was well known to this region. That was until the first war began with the Red Eagles. Bloodshed spilled through the streets of not only those actively fighting but the innocent people of Amador and the surrounding areas. When questioned by the citizens, the Children always gave their answer of 'We follow the Light" or some other nonsense. Finally, the war was over and there was peace again.

Soon after that peace another war started, and another, then another. Other nations and organizations such as Andor, Mayene, the Seanchan invaders, the Dragonsworn, and finally Tear all fought against the zealots and war mongering Children, yet all sadly failed to stop them. Though it was in this war with fear in which Theresa would finally understand her calling.

She noticed a Child of Light was laying in the streets whom had a gaping wound on his inner leg. A man was kneeling beside him rummaging through a bag, but Theresa could not tell what he was doing. She walked closer to where she could get a better view noticing he had taken out some herbs to place on the wound. After that he had tied a long piece of cloth with a stick attached to it above the wound. After mixing some herbs in his flask he placed them in the wound and Theresa could hear him whisper something about being sorry for what is about to happen. The man tied the cloth as tight as he could then began turning that stick. The Child of Light began to scream louder and louder as the the man turned the stick to tighten the cloth around his leg. Finally, the Child passed out from the pain. The man finished what he was doing and got the attention of some of other soldier telling them to take him away.

The man looked back at Theresa and asked, "Are you just going to sit there and watch like a fool or do something to help?"

Theresa was surprised as she thought the man had not seen her. She stuttered out that she was just curious what he was doing. He snipped back, "Trying to keep these people alive, why dont you help since you are just standing around staring at me anyways?"

He grabbed Theresa by the shoulder and dragged her along into a building just down the street. As they walked in the smell of rot, dead, and any other Creator awful smell hit her nose. She nearly fell over from wanting to vomit but held her composure. "Come on, come on!" the man said raising his voice as he walked around to the back of the room.

This place housed so many wounded from the Children but even more innocent civilians. She followed the man to the back behind a makeshift curtain where she could see bandages that had been made from all types of materials from homes and a lot of jars that had herbs placed in them. The man was quickly gathering what he needed and began to point to some things for Theresa to grab. Following his instructions, she did as he commanded without thought and followed him back to the main room.

The man surveyed the scene, nodded, and proceeded to the first person. Another Child of Light was laying here, his stomach partially open. Theresa looked a bit pale when she noticed how bad the injury was and the smell lingering from it. "Why do we not just help the innocents instead of these warmongering fools that deserve it?" she asked.

He had begun mixing some more herbs and while continuing to do so looked back, "Because the right thing to do is to help anyone who needs it. "We are not the Creator and we do not judge. This is something to remember in everything you do in your life young lady. Do what is right not what you think is right for you."

Theresa spent the rest of the day assisting the man as she could. Retrieving supplies and just watching was most of it. As the sun began to disappear from the windows the man stood up and thanked Theresa. "Where do you live?" he asked.

"I...I...I do not really have a home." she stuttered out.

"Then it seems you have a lot of free time on your hands. Go get some rest and I will see you here in the morning. We are in need of help and it seems you need a hobby."

Theresa slowly nodded in agreement, "Yes sir."
