A next step

She had grown tired of washing dishes and sorting books. Her realization at the mural was a great breakthrough in her learning but she still had gaps to fill. Her conversation with the Accepted Pyra gave her an idea, she should seek out classes and maybe by waiting in the classroom she could join in in the next class. The classroom was rather quiet when she arrived so she began looking through papers left behind. Outlines of prior classes sat on the dais and one in particular jumped out at her. Accepted Everesta’s class on timing, this felt like the exact class she needed after her failure to even slow the trolloc in Fal Dara. She settled into a nearby chair and began reading over the notes.
In the Classroom
A board of black slate hangs on the wall near the door, suggesting this
room is used as a classroom. The room is plain and windowless and has
enough place to seat thirty students. A dais with a desk sits at the front
of the room, where the Aes Sedai or Accepted teaching the class can sit.

A haughty young woman strides by practicing Aes Sedai serenity.
The door is opened from the other side.
Tolza has arrived from the west.
Tolza closes the door.
Tolza looks at you.
She looked up and blinked rapidly, startled by the sudden intrusion. Maybe this was a good sign and a class would be starting soon.
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'Follow me please'

Tolza of Murandy is standing here.
A haughty young woman strides by practicing Aes Sedai serenity.
You say 'Do I know you?'
You say 'I was in the middle of reading notes on Everesta's class on timing and weaves'
You smile happily.
Tolza ponders life, the universe, and everything.
You say 'Are you hear to listen to a class as well? I was hoping someone would be teaching today.'
You smile happily.
You say 'Everesta's notes are fascinating though, I could read this for a long time.'
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'Child, did I not ask you to follow me?'

You gasp in astonishment.
You say 'Oh! You are Aes Sedai, I did not recognize you with your identify hidden.'
You now follow Tolza.
Tolza opens the door.
Hallway Outside the Classrooms
This unremarkable gray stone hallway and landing off a stairwell is lined
with a number of doors, marked with the numbers one through twenty. Two
large double doors sit in a pointed archway on the northern end of the
corridor. A portrait of a woman wearing a seven-striped stole surrounded by
battle scenes hangs on the wall opposite the stairwell.

Before Closed Brown Doors
The landing on this stairwell has a floor of tiles in various hues of
brown. A pair of plain double doors, polished and with brass handles lie to
the north, closed and locked as the Brown Ajah resides on a higher floor. A
portrait of a woman wearing the seven-striped stole adorns the wall, the
colors contrasting sharply with the gray color of her dress.

A large man eyes the surroundings warily, every movement fluid.
Entrance to the Brown Wing
Colorful tiles in seven colors come in from the spiralling hallway to the
south gradually petering out until only tiles in various hues ranging from
beige to dark chocolate remain. Decorated with a frieze of intricately
carved redwood leaves and fruits, this is the entry hall of the Brown Ajah
wing. Just off the corridor a stairwell offers a quick way to reach the
Tower's other levels. A portrait of a woman with the staff and stole adorns
the wall, lit by the light of two gilded wall lamps.

A Long, Portrait-Lined Hall
Portraits framed in dark wood extend up and down the length of the hall,
each separated from the other by several spans and featured in a prominent
place in the Brown Ajah wing. Every image portrays an Amyrlin Seat who was
raised from the Brown Ajah. White tiles with a brown Flame of Tar Valon
cover the length and bredth of the hallway.

Continuing Down the Hall
A multitude of doors line both sides of the hallway, each with a richly
decorated carved corniche of redwood leaves and cones above them. A
similarly decorated frieze of redwood leaves, flowers and cones sits just
below the curvature of the arched ceiling. Framed portraits in dark wooden
frames contrast sharply with the white stone walls.

Study of the Brown Ajah
Tall, arched windows in the northern wall open to a balcony, providing a
choice view of the Erinin as it flows south from the Borderlands. Half the
seating in the room is drawn up around the windows, showing that the
occupants appreciate the panorama. The remaining seats are drawn up in
circles of six to eight, allowing Brown Sisters to discuss the furtherance
of knowledge, or new theories in an informal atmosphere. Colorful wall
hangings depicting still lifes decorate the pale white walls.

A large desk made of fine, thick wood stands across the room from here.
Tolza the Sister is standing here.
A young girl in a plain white dress stands here.
A silver-haired Aes Sedai sits here, reading.
A Brown Sister is here, frowning pensively.
Danelle Sedai, sitter for the Brown Ajah stands here deep in thought.
Tolza closes the carveddoor.
Tolza gestures at the door with her hand.
The door silently swings shut and lock with a soft *click*.
Tolza sits down and rests.
This was her first time in a formal setting with an Aes Sedai, her previous experience was a whirlwind that involved a lot of rapid questions. Was she supposed to talk first or was the Aes Sedai? The silence felt like an eternity.
She shifted on the balls of her feet.
Tolza begins to examine the stacks of papers on the large desk.
Tolza glances up at you.
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'Are your knees injured child?'
You say 'No? My knees are fine, why do you ask?'
You limber up for battle by doing some deep knee bends.
Tolza says 'It is protocol to curtsy before an Aes Sedai.'
You curtsey to your audience.
Tolza gives you a faint smile as her eyes dart to her book.
Tolza says 'Very good.'
You say 'I was not aware of the protocol, I will make sure to remember in the future.'
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'Truly?'
You say 'Truly'
Tolza nods in agreement.
Tolza says 'Have you read the hand book yet?'
You say 'My name was entered into the book, yes, but I am not aware of another book.'
Tolza nods in agreement.
The Aes Sedai spoke in hushed tone, she didn’t quite hear what was said but thought it pertained where she could find a copy of the handbook.
You say 'I was just told of the kitchens and chores.'
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'I suggest you read it.'
You say 'Will Sheriam Sedai have a copy or will there one be in the Novice quarters?'
Tolza says 'Actually read it and send me a brief summery via the forums. '
You say 'I do not recall seeing one in the novice quarters when I was cleaning.'
Tolza says 'Do you understand my instructions?'
You say 'Yes, read a copy of the handbook and send you a summary.'
You nod in agreement.
Tolza says 'Can you do that?'
You say 'Yes, that wont be a problem.'
The Aes Sedai started 'I would also like you to study’ before trailing off again in a hushed manner. Something about another book she needed to read, she thought.
Tolza says 'That would be a Tower Outline, from novice to Aes Sedai.'
You say 'Can I find a copy in the classroom? I dont recall seeing one on the desks.'
Tolza says 'Read that as well and send me a report via the forums as well.'
Tolza says 'Again do you understand my instructions?'
You say 'Yes, you would like another report.'
You nod in agreement.
Tolza says 'Will you be able to complete theses tasks?'
You say 'I have completed all tasks given so far, they will not be a problem.'
Tolza says 'Good.'
Tolza says 'Do you require any thing from me at this time?'
You say 'Will this help in my advancement? I am ready to be moved to Accepted.'
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'Perhaps will be the most important things to help you with your advancement.'
You nod in agreement.
Tolza nods in agreement.
You say 'I would very much like to named Accepted so I can return back home.'
You smile happily.
Tolza says 'It is best to cut your old ties.'
Tolza tilts her head as if listening.
Tolza stops resting, and clambers on her feet.
Tolza says 'I am needed else where.'
Tolza gestures with her hand.
The door smoothly swings open.
You say 'I will write your reports.'
Tolza says 'You are dismessed.'
You nod in agreement.

The meeting ended abruptly, she was dismissed and set off to work on these tasks. It was good to finally speak with another Aes Sedai even if it felt like she was being assigned more busy work. If she was diligent on this task, maybe it would lead to her being given formal instruction. She still felt a bit lost and was fumbling her way through things on her own. Maybe these two books the Aes Sedai assigned her to read would shed some light on how to move forward. What did the Aes Sedai mean when she said to cut all ties? She would have to ask more the next time she spoke to her. For now, she needed to focus on the tasks given so she would be moved to Accepted.
