Fuujin tries to not look too curious at the exchange.
Callesa opens her letter and quickly reads it.
Callesa nods to herself and quickly puts the letter in her bag.
A Defender of the Stone has arrived from the north.

Surtain to Get Drunk
The newest establishment in Tear, this bar evokes friendliness and
cleanliness. Made of dark wood and leather, and with bread always in the
oven, this is comfort made into a bar as the warmth of the fireplace keeps
the cold at bay. As a home away from home, this spot is a popular
destination for locals and foreigners alike.
A sign neatly hangs above the counter and a plaque is fastened to a nearby
wall.

You say 'The trap around Gevarha needs to be well prepared, she's a dangerous woman with even more dangerous friends.'
You say 'There are several logical sources of those objects.'
Fuujin ponders life, the universe, and everything.
You say 'Either Tear has been serving the role of a warehouse, where objects from various parts of the world get gathered and sent to Cairhien.'
Fuujin frowns.
You say 'Another option may be someone accessing either the not so secret stash the Defenders have been hiding in the Stone, or at least the sources you get your Items of Power from.'
Fuujin says 'Either of those would be of grave consequence'
Fuujin says 'Few have access to the Great Holding and I doubt any Defender would stoop so low as to loot it'
You say 'In the later case, my chances of finding the culprit are minimal and I am not even sure you could tell me, if anything in the Stone was missing.'
You nod at her.
Fuujin says 'But if someone is using Tear as a warehouse...That too is a major crime and not one I can ignore'
You say 'Unless you have darkfriends among you. Which is unfortunately not that improbable, given the current spread of their power.'
Callesa frowns
You nod in agreement.
Fuujin says 'I shudder at the possibility, but you are right, we can't discount that, much as it leaves a bad taste in my mouth'
You say 'If that is the case, could you please investigate and share the results? You have all the power within Tear, but I'm afraid the next steps will lead far away.'
Fuujin nods in agreement.
You say 'I honestly find the first option more probable, Tear is an ideal place for such business, given the limitations Aes Sedai face here.'
Fuujin nods in agreement.
You say 'That's why I'm asking for your cooperation.'
Fuujin says 'I've been away in Godan this past year, only having just returned, but I think this is something well within my wheelhouse to attend to'
Fuujin says 'But there is one important thing that must be worked out if we are to cooperate'
You say 'I certainly don't need to remind you this should be handled discreetly. Neither the Defenders nor the Tower would be seen in a positive light, should knowledge of this crime and its extent become public.'
Fuujin says 'Of course, neither of us would want the embarassment'
You say 'What is the concern of yours, necessary for our cooperation?'
Fuujin says 'The White Tower lays claim on all objects of the power and the High Lords direct Defenders to turn in any we find. If we find them, how shall we decide what to do with them? Especially if any of them may have come from the Great Holding...'
You nod at her.
Fuujin says 'I have little interests in them personally, but it would be a waste if I were to hand them -all- to you'
A bartender locks down the merchandise in his shop and closes up.
You say 'This is definitely a tricky diplomatical issue. The White Tower is certainly missing out on various objects just lying in Tear, instead of being used against the Shadow. However...'
You say 'I personally prefer such objects "lost" to us, as long as they are also lost to the darkfriends or male channelers.'
A bartender hustles about the room, getting ready for new business.

You say 'The objects found within Tear will probably have to stay here, but I would very much appreciate their precise descriptions, to continue my search for the whole supply chain.'

You say 'Should we, however, find that the source of this business is a traitor among the Defenders,'

An olive skinned woman with a Saldaean's sharp nose and a golden patch over
her left eye is here. Jet-black hair is tied up in a ponytail that sits at
her shoulder. She has an air of nobility about her, tightened by military
rigidness.

Fuujin says 'We can cross that bridge should we come upon it'
You say 'We just know some of the objects were at some point held in the city.'
You say 'Of course, it would be easier to determine, whether anything found belongs to you, if you gave us a list of your angreal and ter'angreal.'
Callesa laughs quietly
Fuujin snickers softly.
Fuujin says 'I tend to stay away from the Great Holding. I have little interest in messing with such things'
You say 'Without such information, I cannot assume the objects were yours, my primary theory is still a too active businessman, perhaps not even aware of their own foolishness.'
Fuujin nods in agreement.
Fuujin says 'But you believe this noblewoman knows full well what she's doing, yes?'
You say 'Absolutely.'
Fuujin nods in agreement.
You say 'I have many reasons to believe her a darkfriend.'
Fuujin says 'A darkfriend too. Her crimes are numerous.'
Fuujin looks at a black cat.
You say 'Yes, but discovering her associates is one of the priorities, even more than dealing with her personally.'
