**Another very old log with Senamika**

Tower Square
[ obvious exits: N E S W ]
An elaborately sculpted marble fountain splashes merrily.
An oil lamp, set in a steel cage, hangs from a high wooden pole.
A warhorse is here, stamping his feet impatiently, being ridden by you.
Jenda Sharaad the Journey Accepted is standing here, riding a gray palfrey.
The Tar Valon town crier stands here, spreading the news.

You curtsey before her.

You are using:
<held> an oilstone
<worn on finger> a jade signet ring
<worn on finger> a cheap brass ring
<worn on head> a shoufa with a gray veil
<worn around neck> a thin, black chain
<worn around neck> a Kandori snowflake necklace
<worn on body> a shadowy vest
<worn about body> a dark, hooded cloak
<slung on back> a backpack
<worn on arms> a light pair of leather coverings
<worn on hands> a pair of dark gloves
<worn around wrist> a ridged steel bracer
<worn around wrist> a ridged steel bracer
<worn as shield> a dull black shield
<wielded> a sleek, mahogany-shafted spear
<worn about waist> a bronze belt of odd design
<worn on legs> a pair of silken hose
<worn on feet> a black pair of silver-tooled boots

Jenda looks at you.

Jenda smiles at you.

You say 'Good evening, Accepted.'

Jenda says 'Good evening.'

Senamika considers her words.

Jenda tilts her head.

You say 'I hope I am not bothering you, but if you have time, I would need to ask somene from the Tower some questions.'

Jenda says 'You may ask me anything you'd like to know.'

Jenda winks at the Tar Valon town crier.

The Tar Valon town crier smiles at you.

Jenda smiles softly at you.

You nod in agreement.

You say 'May I buy you a glass of wine, so that we may take this to where we can actually sit down and talk?'

Jenda's tilted eyes narrow in a ghost of a smile.

Jenda says 'A cup of tea would be appreciated.'

Jenda beckons everyone to follow her.

You nod in agreement.

The Tremalking Splice
[ obvious exits: N ]
A long wooden table offers room for patrons.
Jenda Sharaad the Journey Accepted is standing here.
A sullen man is hunched over a tankard, sipping his ale.
A bartender serves customers with a greedy smile.
A merchant guard, intent on keeping order, stands guard.
A merchant guard, intent on keeping order, stands guard.

You say 'One moment please.'

A warhorse starts following you.

You put a worn saddlebag in a backpack.
You put a high-cantled saddle in a backpack.
You put a stable ticket in a backpack.
You put seven coppers in a backpack.

Jenda wears a sly grin.

A bartender tells you 'Just yell for me when you need another.'
You now have a cup.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.

You now have a cup.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.

You give a cup to Jenda.

Jenda says 'Thankyou much.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

Variable 'doorname' is set to: Woodendoor
The Woodendoor is open.
Ok.

Senamika approaches a free table, and waits for you.

Jenda's lips curve in a small, mysterious smile.

Jenda arranges her skirts and seats herself at the table.

You sit down.
You sheath a sleek, mahogany-shafted spear into a dark, hooded cloak.

Jenda looks at you.

You say 'Thank you for offering me some of your time. I've already approached Accepted Kirasola before...'

Jenda nods slightly.

You say 'but she asked me a lot of questions and... disappeared before I could get to ask mine.'

Jenda chuckles politely.

Jenda gestures fractionally for you to continue.

You nod in agreement.

You say 'To put it shortly, I seem to have the gift of the One Power. I discovered it over two years ago.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

Jenda smiles softly and nods, 'I feel the talent in you. How did you learn of this?'

You say 'It happened as an accident, when... a certain man, assaulted me.'

Jenda cooly arches a brow.

Jenda says 'He has no name?'

You say 'He flew into the air and crashed against the opposite wall and somehow I knew that it was my doing.'

Jenda wears a sly grin.

You say 'As I told Accepted Kirasola, I've been rather uninterested in things concerning the Tower before, and after the discovery it was natural for me to experiment with it on my own'

Jenda says 'Excellent. To be sure, the Tower can show you how to reign the One Power and keep you from killing yourself or worse.'

You nod in agreement.

You say 'So the Accepted told me.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

You say 'Well, a certain Aes Sedai, and I truly do not know her name for she never gave it to me...'

You say 'once took note of me in Cairhien and told me I should look for a Blue Ajah member to join the White Tower.'

Jenda nods in agreement.

You say 'Still, it's a decision I'd like to take as an... informed one.'

Jenda says 'I see.'

Jenda says 'Sometimes information is as important as life itself. If the desired balance is known to you.'

You say 'What do you mean by balance, Accepted?'

Jenda says 'Would you die for the need to gain information? '

Senamika sips from her cup, listening and considering.

Jenda says 'The balance is how important to you the information is.'

Jenda says 'If this means you will experiment on your own and kill or burn yourself out... for the desire for information...'

Jenda smiles graciously, 'That balance is for you to figure out.'

You say 'I see what you mean. Well, that is why I am here. To find out about the alternative.'

Jenda says 'Ask your questions, and I will answer as I can.'

You say 'Accepted Kirasola made it clear that becoming part of the Tower is a lifetime commitment. Now my life is a very precious thing to me. I'd like to know well what I'm committing it to.'

Senamika gives a rare smile.

Jenda nods, 'Naturally.'

You say 'My questions, well...'

You say 'This may seem naive, but it's something I don't really think a lot of people step back to ask themselves. What is, really, the purpose of the White Tower? Is it just a school for women who have the gift?'

Jenda chuckles politely.

Jenda says 'It is much much more.'

Jenda says 'Aes Sedai is Old Tonuge for 'Servants of All'...'

Jenda says 'The White Tower in its nature, serves humanity and the Light with every ability we have.'

Jenda says 'To unify, and fight the Shadow, in essence...'

Jenda says 'Yet there are nuances and variations that naturally come with dealing with people, Kings or commoners.'

Senamika nods, looking thoughtful.

Jenda says 'Schooling yes, is indeed important. It is how a woman such as yourself learns to use wisdom and virute along with her gift to aid the Creator in the balance of the world.'

You say 'I'm sorry, to be sure I cought it right. Wisdom and virtue, you mean?'

Jenda says 'Of course.'

You nod in agreement.

Jenda says 'Otherwise any woman who can channel will use that to her own ends.'

You say 'I see.'

Jenda says 'There was once a time of Chaos where several factions warred with each other, there was no unification.'

Jenda says 'The White Tower is indeed an organization in unity for a solid cause.'

You are hungry.
You are thirsty.

You say 'Service to humanity?'

Jenda says 'Yes.'

Senamika glances towards the White Tower, pondering.

Jenda watches you over the rim of her tea cup.

Jenda sips from the cup.

You say 'What do you mean by virtue, Accepted? Women in the Tower are not... hm.. expected to abstain from all pleasures in life?'

Jenda says 'By viture, I mean knowing what is good, just, and righteous, and conducting yourself accordingly...'

Jenda says 'As Novices and Accepteds, not only will you not generally have time for... certain earthly pleasure... but abstinance from certain things allows one to focus all her energy on her learning...'

Jenda says 'Not even half of the Novices will become Accepted, and less then that will become Aes Sedai.'

You say 'As Novices and Accepteds. And Aes Sedai?'

Jenda says 'Every ounce of your being must desire to become Aes Sedai... And when you reach that, what you do with your personal time is up to you, though just by being Aes Sedai, you will know by nature how to conduct yourself, where and when.'

Jenda says 'Aes Sedai have been married, and some have even had families.'

Jenda shrugs fractionally.

Jenda says 'But most do not, by choice.'

Senamika repeats pensively 'By choice.'

You say 'So few become Aes Sedai. Life is hard, in the Tower?'

Jenda says 'I would not say -life- is harder in the Tower anymore then life is hard anywhere else.'

Jenda says 'Your training will be rigorous.'

Jenda says 'You will be expected to learn respect, and differ to those who come before you. And to have a reign on the
baser emotions and instincts such as pride and temper, to name a few.'

Jenda says 'You will not be abused! However some women put more importance on thier own selves then on a greater good.'

Senamika twists her lips in distaste. 'Rigorous. Now that will take some getting used to, then. I've been running the world freely ever since that accident happened.'

Jenda's lips curve in a small, mysterious smile.

You say 'You understand, my family didn't exactly want me to stay around after they realized what my gift is.'

Jenda nods solemly.

Jenda says 'You would not be the first.'

Jenda says 'We have a few women here who are Amadician and Tairen, in fact.'

You say 'No, I expect not... I haven't really shared knowledge of my ability with people I'd met since then. Except for the warriors. They seem to appreciate it more.'

You say 'Oh, I see. It's not that bad... I'm from Cairhien.'

Jenda says 'Look at an Aes Sedai. In all her serene mystery and power each has come here just as you have, with more questions then answers, and each with her own story. Each has worn Novices Whites, and each has donned the dress you see me in now.'

Jenda says 'From any nation and any level of society.'

Jenda says 'What you must know, is that upon becoming a Novice...'

Senamika leans forward slightly, paying you her undivided attention.

Jenda says 'You must give up your ties to homeland and nation. You are now of the White Tower. and by our nature, we do not give prejudice or preference to homeland or nation.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

You say 'That part will not be much of a problem.'

Jenda's lips curve in a small, mysterious smile.

Jenda says 'Good.'

Senamika sighs. 'One last questions, if I haven't wasted too much of your time.'

Jenda says 'This time has not been wasted if its been helpful to you.'

Jenda smiles at you.

You say 'Then it hasn't been.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

You say 'So... what happens if a girl fails? If she is judged as unworthy of remaining in the Tower or progressing towards Aes Sedai status?'

Jenda says 'Usually, she is sent home with enough money to support herself for a while. '

Jenda says 'Nothing else. And the Tower will only let you go once they decide you will not harm yourself or others around you.'

You say 'How could they ever be sure?'

Jenda's lips curve in a small, mysterious smile.

Jenda says 'With thousands of years of experiance, of course.'

You tell Jenda 'sorry, phone'
Jenda tells you 'np :)'

Senamika 's stomach grumbles, but she refuses to be distracted.

Jenda wears a sly grin.

You say 'So, typically I would not be deprived of the gift before being let go?'

Jenda says 'Of course not..'

Jenda shudders lightly.

You say 'Well that was one possible meaning of making sure I can't misuse it...'

You say 'I had to ask.'

Jenda chuckles politely.

Jenda says 'The Aes Sedai will usually be able to tell whether or not you intend to misuse it.'

Jenda says 'And it is quickly and efficiantly handled to make sure that will not happen.'

You nod in agreement.

Jenda sips from the cup.

Jenda says 'May I ask you a question?'

You say 'These were all my questions, I guess. Thank you truly for taking time to help me with them.'

You say 'Of course, Accepted.'

Senamika looks at you over her cup, sipping as she expects your question.

Jenda says 'How much have you taught yourself?'

Senamika coughs, choking slightly on the tea.

Jenda cooly arches a brow.

Senamika waves her hand, coughing. 'I'm all right. Sorry about that.'

Jenda nods, the flash of concern vanishing from her features.

You say 'How much I've taught myself... well, a few simple things... Accepted Kirasola said they are considered very basic in the Tower.'

You say 'I know how to create a defense around me that makes me lighter and more agile...'

Jenda says 'Such as?'

Jenda nods in agreement.

You feel the flows of saidar coursing through your body.
re
Ok.

Jenda smiles softly.

You say 'Ouch, I thought I had better control!'

Jenda chuckles politely.

You tell Jenda 'wrong alias, but very timely :p'

Jenda says 'It is alright.. with time in the Tower you will learn absolute control.'

Jenda tells you '*wink*'

You say 'Well, I also seem to be able to heal small wounds. Nothing serious, but I've done it before.'

Jenda says 'Ah. Only on small animals, I trust?'

Jenda fixes slightly narrowed tilted eyes on you.

Jenda sips from the cup.

You say 'The most... spectacular thing I've ever achieved was gathering air into cold shards that I can throw at something. I've used it on only two occasions, when attacked by wild animals.'

Jenda says 'Impressive!'

You say 'In retrospect, I'd have just run this time.'

Jenda chuckles politely.

You say 'I didn't feel confident with that ability at all.'

Jenda says 'As you learn control, confidence will follow.'

You say 'You are undoubtedly right.'

You say 'And yes, of course I wouldn't use the healing on human beings...'

You say 'I wouldn't exactly want to advertise my ability.'

Jenda says 'You are feeling like it tries to sweep you away, Saidar. We will teach you to submit to the One Power and by that, you will learn control.'

You say 'Actually it was my horse.'

Jenda chuckles politely.

Jenda says 'Let me tell you this... If you still have any doubts.'

You say 'A bear attacked it... it actually came out only with scratches, but I was afraid for it more than was... logically necessary.'

You say 'yes?'

Jenda says 'Being brought into the Tower was the most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life, and I am blessed. I have learned the strengthe in myself that I would have never known otherwise.'

Jenda says 'And I am sure you will feel the same when you make your decision to be inducted in the Tower.'

Jenda smiles kindly at you.

Senamika frowns slightly. 'If you say so...'

Jenda chuckles politely.

Jenda says 'I do.'

You say 'Please do not think I doubt your words, but... this is something I will need to consider.'

Jenda says 'Of course.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

Jenda says 'If you have any other questions, you may always ask me.'

You say 'I just know myself... and I know it will be far harder for me than for most in a... rigorous kind of setup.'

Jenda says 'I do understand.'

You say 'I suppose my upbringing in House Saighan might turn against me... as well as my solitary ways for the last two years or more.'

Jenda wears a sly grin.

You say 'I would hate to commit my life to something like that.. and fail.'

Jenda says 'If you are as strong as I think you are, I do not see you failing.'

Senamika glances distrustfully towards where the White Tower is visible before she catches the meaning of your words.

Jenda's lips curve in a small, mysterious smile.

Senamika turns towards you. 'Thank you, Accepted.'

Jenda says 'It was my pleasure.'

It tastes like hot, bitter tea.

You say 'I find your words encouraging.'

Jenda smooths her skirts, 'Is this all you need?'

Senamika jumps slightly. 'Oh, yes, yes. I'm sorry if I am keeping you.'

Jenda chuckles politely.

You say 'I was just considering if I could invite you for a bit of hunting.'

Jenda tells you 'i just need afk a moment.'

You tell Jenda 'nod'
You tell Jenda 'same, then'

You tell Jenda 'back'

You drink the hot, bitter tea.
You drink the hot, bitter tea.

It's empty.
You stand up.

A bartender tells you 'Just yell for me when you need another.'
You now have a cup.
A bartender puts some coins in a small purse.

You drink the hot, bitter tea.
You don't feel thirsty any more.

You get a thick slice of salted ham from a backpack.
You eat the ham.
You are full.

Jenda disappears into the void.
Jenda has returned.

Jenda nods in agreement.

You nod in agreement.

Jenda says 'So hunting then?'

Jenda snaps her fingers.

You say 'That would be good.'

You put one copper in a backpack.
You put one crown in a backpack.

Jenda says 'I left my weapon in the shop, and will have to wait till he opens.'

Jenda grins sheepishly.

You nod in agreement.

Jenda says 'I appologize for the delay.'

You say 'I suppose it won't do to go punching wild animals.'

You sit down.

Jenda snickers softly.

Jenda says 'We can wait in the Square.'

You say 'No apology necessary.'

Jenda sips from the cup.

You say 'Hm... if you prefer.'
