Muffled thumps and rustling can be heard from within the dusty closet in the far back of the Tower library.
Liia says 'A scandelous closet for sure.'
Liia looks around slowly, as if something is hidden in the room.
Liia peruses a stack of paper with writing on it, ready to be bound into a book.
Trysstianna is just begining to get dressed, starting with her socks so her panties and slip would help slide them up her legs. As she intelligently hops on one foot to pull her sock on she gracefully hops right into the door, causing herself to topple out of the closet.
Liia falls down laughing.
Liia comforts Trysstianna.
Liia says 'Better watch yourself!'
Trysstianna looks up from the floor and her eyes widen comically at your voice. Not bothering to hide her rather fit nude form, she simply pulls on her second sock and continues dressing from the floor. In a plainly foreign drawling lilt she asks 'You will not tell the Aes Sedai will you Miss?'
Trysstianna shrugs.
Liia whispers in a conspiratorial tone, 'Your secret is safe with me, however if you're not careful you may get yourself caught!'
Liia keeps a lookout for you, peering down the rows of bookshelves, listening for footsteps.
Trysstianna nods at the sound advice. 'We generally leave inverted wards to alert us if someone approaches the closet with intention to open it. Along with silencing wards to keep sound in the room. Reyne dropped them when she left though...'
Trysstianna quickly finishes dressing and jumps to her feet.
A Dusty Storage Closet
Stacks of wood, leather, and paper line the walls of the room, while
several sets of mounted shelves hold an assortment of other supplies. Pots
of glue, bales of twine, quills, stoppered ink jars, and a small stack of
bookbinders knives are each allotted their own space. A small table sits
near the door to the south, stacked with a collection of blank books on its
surface. While the corners of the room are rather dusty, small avenues
between the heaps of supplies seem as though they are frequently traversed.
[ obvious exits: S ]
Liia Averon the Tower Accepted is standing here.
Trysstianna drawls 'Thank you for keeping an eye for for me.'
Trysstianna smiles at her.
Liia smiles at Trysstianna.
Trysstianna picks up her pack and settles it on her back. 'What were you looking for in the library if I may ask?
Liia says 'Oh, I spend many hours just wandering, scanning the titles on the spines, looking for interesting topics to research.'
Liia says 'The library here is greater than any other in the world.'
Liia says 'Some of these books haven't been touched in centuries. Who knows what secrets have been lost, and are buried among these pages, waiting to be rediscovered?'
Trysstianna nods in agreement. Running her fingers along the edges of a few books she drawls 'Have you any interest in Healing?'
Liia says 'I'm actually fairly experienced in healing. It can come in very handy.'
Trysstianna grins, a mischievous glint in her eye.
Liia says 'Are you planning on pursuing the Yellow Ajah? '
Trysstianna drawls 'I have two hundred fourty-seven years experience working in the Imperial Hospital of Seandor. I fully intend to join the Yellow Ajah should I manage it, yes.'
Liia gasps in astonishment.
Trysstianna has a confident, yet modest look about her. Proud of her skill yet not holding it over you.
Liia says 'So that's where the drawl comes from... I apologize, I didn't know.'
Liia says 'How did you manage to escape?'
Trysstianna drawls 'That is perfectly alright. One can not be expected to know facts they have yet to be apprised of, no?'
Trysstianna drawls 'I did not escape. My sul'dam, Emily, set me free before she would be forced to sell me to a discusting member of the Blood due to bankruptcy.'
Trysstianna drawls 'She ordered me into a crate and removed my a'dam before nailing the lid shut and shipping me across the Aryth with a Sea Folk vessel.'
Liia says 'That must have been... a pretty scary trip'
Trysstianna sighs and shakes her head. 'I am not fond of the dark, nor confined spaces.' She begins wandering towards the stairs. 'How did you arrive at the Tower then?
Liia says 'I joined the Tower fairly young, actually. I left home when some sisters came through my town in Murandy and found I had the spark.'
Trysstianna drawls 'I have to admit that when I first learned there was a Tower filled with marath'damane I could not comprehend how such a building had yet to be wiped off the map by the women self destructing.'
Liia says 'From what I read, that must have been quite the culture shock for you.'
Liia says 'It's what I've always known, so I guess I never thought anything of it.'
Liia says 'Anyway, even from when I was a little girl, I liked to read. My father promoted my reading from a very young age.'
Liia says 'It's part of why I was drawn to the Brown.'
Trysstianna drawls 'Very interesting. Do you prefer certain genre over others? if so, which?'
Liia says 'The Age of Legends has always fascinated me. Stories of the wonders they could perform...'
Trysstianna drawls 'Wonders like perhaps creating ter'angreal?' She asks this with a hint of a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Liia nods at Trysstianna.
Liia says 'That is one of many! Ter'angreal, angreal, sa'angreal, wells, stasis chambers, shocklances, flying??...'
Liia stares off into space
Trysstianna smirks but not unkindly. 'Angreal, sa'angreal along with all you mentioned fall under the talent of creating ter'angreal in general. A talent along with many others, that are orders of magnitude more common in Seanchan than on this continent. The breeding of damane with Breeders, or Male Channelers, allows for great strength and talents to emerge in the channelers across the Sea.'
Trysstianna drawls 'A talent I happen to possess.'
Trysstianna winks suggestively at Liia.
Liia strokes her chin thoughtfully.
Liia says 'Is that so?'
Liia says 'What sort of ter'angreal are you able to create?'
Liia says 'Is it somethign that can be learned?'
Trysstianna drawls 'They require certain materials of a rather expensive variety. Lightsticks for instance require a gram of ground diamond dust. Besides material costs i could make any of hundreds of types I suppose.'
Liia strokes her chin thoughtfully.
Liia says 'That is fascinating'
Liia says 'Do the Aes Sedai know of this talent?'
Trysstianna drawls 'Indeed. I have made Etain Sedai a pebble of cuendillar.'
Liia says 'Cuendillar is indeed rare!'
Trysstianna nods in agreement.
Trysstianna drawls 'Not so much in Seanchan.'
Trysstianna shrugs.
Liia says 'Weapons and armor made from it would be immensely valuable in the fight against the dark.'
Trysstianna drawls 'I have heard of a High Blood that collects heartstone trinkets in Seanchan.'
Trysstianna nods in agreement.
Liia stops using a belt with a buckle of cuendillar.
Liia wears a belt with a buckle of cuendillar around her waist.
Liia says 'I found this belt in my travels earlier.'
Trysstianna drawls 'And to turn an object to cuendillar is not the same as making the weapon in the first place. Any Aes Sedai could have a master weaponsmith forge a tier one Heron marked blade and she could touch it and turn it to Heartstone without violating her oaths.'
Liia says 'It's just a buckle, but I like the looks of it.'
Trysstianna drawls 'It is nice, yes.'
Trysstianna smiles happily.
Trysstianna drawls 'Would you care to do something?'
Liia says 'Sure'
Liia smiles happily.
Liia says 'Depending on what it is!'
Liia grins evilly.
Trysstianna leads you down the stairs now, heading out towards the Tower Square.
Liia nods in agreement.
Trysstianna drawls 'Oh nothing in particular i suppose. Any ideas yourself?'
Liia strokes her chin thoughtfully.
A Spiraling Staircase
A wide spiraling staircase ascends and descends the center of the Tower.
Landings extend off of the staircase in every direction, leading to
hallways in the north, east, and west. To the west, the floor of the
hallway is tiled in ceramic designs of a muted brown. The eastern hallway
is marked with the outline of an open book set into the floor. The northern
hallway is narrower and paneled in a dark grained wood, while a small
landing to the south contains a few pieces of furniture.
[ obvious exits: N E S W U D ]
Liia has arrived from the east.
Trysstianna senses Liia connecting to the True Source.
Trysstianna senses Liia is channeling saidar.
Liia gestures briefly at Liia, who now appears more impressive somehow.
Trysstianna senses Liia is channeling saidar.
Flows of Fire and Spirit work into your muscles, enhancing your strength.
The day has begun.
A city lamplighter extinguishes a streetlamp.
Trysstianna drawls 'I do not like to fight much I am afraid. But perhaps we could...'
Trysstianna shrugs.
Liia ponders life, the universe, and everything.
Tower Square
This side of the square is the southern section of the Tower Square.
In the center is the walled off White Tower. To the south a large
boulevard opens up leading to the Southharbor. To the north you see
the southern gate of the tower grounds. The square continues east
and west.
A large banner rests here, depicting a map of Tar Valon.
[ obvious exits: N E S W ]
The corpse of a rat is lying here. [2]
A marble bench, flecked with gold and bronze, adorns the floor.
An oil lamp, set in a steel cage, hangs from a high wooden pole.
An elaborately sculpted marble fountain splashes merrily.
A stout wooden barrel stands nearby.
Krien the Streetguard is standing here.
A man meanders here, quietly speaking to himself.
Liia Averon the Tower Accepted is standing here.
The Tar Valon town crier stands here, spreading the news.
Trysstianna curtseys to her audience.
Rodurnon has arrived from the south.
Rodurnon hugs Liia.
Rodurnon leaves south.
Krien has arrived from the south.
Krien smiles happily.
Trysstianna glances about the Tower Square and takes a deep breath. 'Nice to be out of that library for a time though.'
Krien leaves north.
Liia grins at Trysstianna.
Liia says 'It does get a little dusty at times.'
Trysstianna nods in agreement.
Liia ponders life, the universe, and everything.
Benett has arrived from the east.
Benett bows deeply.
Benett says 'Good day.'
Trysstianna nods respectfully back.
Benett looks at Liia.
Trysstianna drawls 'Light's Blessings Sir.'
Benett looks at Trysstianna.
Benett says 'How are you two today?'
Trysstianna drawls 'Suddenly I begin to feel ill actually. I may go see if Etain Sedai can take a look at me I think.'
Benett looks at Trysstianna.
Benett ponders life, the universe, and everything.
Trysstianna leaves north, heading up to speak with the Yellow Sister.
