Ely edit 28 Jul 2021.
1-6 qps, depending on length and quality.
Potential +1 qp: if part of a series: o/x
Total: 1 qps for Alison, Brocas, Callesa, Ravhaiel and Laolin's contributions.

In the early evening Ali leaves Gaidin Brocas behind. She quietly walks up the stairs towards her rooms.
Near the wash basin of the bedroom, Kennira quietly stands next to Ali.
"What are the ribbons for, Child?" she asks. Ali takes a deep breath as she tries to explain the silver and gold ribbons in her hair, those wrapped around her
upper arms and around her animal boots.
She takes a deep breath, "It is the month of remembrance, Kennira. The month where we honor those that has gone before us. Earlier i showed Gaidin
Brocas the statue west of the Tar valon crier. Ciel Sedai. I didnt know her and I wish i did. But i want to honor those that have gone before.
Those dreams of mine have reminded me that we are where we are now with the foundation of the strong women that have established the world around us."
(ooc: In this thread post your memories of those you remember. Please keep it in the White Tower. It can be Aes sedai, gaidin or anyone that you feel
contributed well to the formation of the Mud we have today. I honestly would like to hear your stories.)

Re: The Month of Remembrance..
Brocas watches Ali thoughtfully, he blinks at the setting sun and how it highlights her silhouette when she disappears into the White tower. He stands up, grabs the reins of the bridle and leads his bloodstock stallion out of the square.
Once he gets to the warder practice yard, he ties the horse up to a post and joins Gaidin Coulin watching the students.
"Shouldn't you be out there practicing your axes skills, Brocas" Coulin quips. "It's a lot different then using the silly little daggers you used to use."
"Yes, Master Coulin. I am, and there is plenty more time for improvement. Accepted Ali was just showing me the statue of Ceil Sedai. It brought back many memories."
Coulin relaxes his stance and smiles at Brocas. "Yes, it seems like just yesterday you and Lena Sedai were new to Tar Valon. In reality it has been much longer. You two were inseparable... going on lots of adventures." Coulin sighs, "I miss seeing Lena Sedai's presence around the tower. She was a very kind hearted person, willing to help absolutely anyone in need... perfect for the Yellow Ajah."
Brocas nods his head slowly in agreement and starts to feel a lump forming in his throat. He pulls his cloak up a little higher around his neck as if he was trying to hide it.
"Master Coulin, its time for some practice." Brocas quickly grabs a spare practice axe and head into the yard to engage another student in a spar.

Feel free to post memories. I would love to hear about those that have come before.
Who knows those old players might just return.

Re: The Month of Remembrance..
Having found a fallen ribbon near the Gaidin practice yard, Callesa is quickly informed of its meaning by Coulin. So many memories. So many names, faces, and shared moments.
Naji above all. The mentor who changed everything and gave her a real chance. Who named the faults to be adressed, who really cared. Naji was behind strenghtening the thread of the Brown Ajah in the pattern, that should never be forgotten. After all, she was Alayla's mentor too, therefore a grandmentor to probably half the Ajah as we know it these days. The thought made Callesa smile.
But there were other Browns, who had taught her a lot, despite never being her mentors. Lorelle and Divina were particular sources of inspiration. Especially Divina, the first to ever let her touch and examine an angreal.
Most of the Yellows from her youth are no longer around. Eliora, who actually tested Callesa for the Spark as an Accepted, and kept being her teacher and model as the years passed and Shawls came. She was probably the first woman of the Tower Callesa had ever met. Alexis, Jenda, Neladin, all those who spent time with a young student of the Browns and actually made her consider changing her path. Who helped her overcome her fear of not being enough for the Tower, the long lasting consideration of giving up. Welcoming to so many students, healers of the world.
Kaishia. The first time Shadow directly touched Callesa's life. How could it be? How could have such a kind woman and passionate healer and teacher become a darkfriend? That was a shock.
Kasindra and Keani. Two close friends, during the longs years in the banded dress. Neither is in the Tower anymore. Callesa heard rumours of Kasindra being captured by the Seanchan. A terrible thought. And Keani... Light knows where she went. Hopefully, it protected her better and gave her a solid destiny even without the White Tower.
Or those days in which the Grays weren't taken for memories that become legends (some of them turning already to myths). Riasa was the youngest and easiest to find and learn from. And Mariel! How she scared novice Callesa on her first day in the Tower! Of course the farmgirl deserved it as she obviously had no clue about proper manners and wasn't eloquent in her defense either. Perhaps it was one of the moments forming the future Callesa Sedai.
Beverlae, the archetype of a Blue. Regal, intelligent, determined. And the reason why Callesa didn't dare to lure a certain man to join the Gaidin and become her warder, actually.
Plyva. At the same time archetypal White and probably the most original person in the Tower at that time. And one of the most original ones in the history. Atha'an Miere. Very few have come to the Tower during the centuries and millenia. And perhaps just a handful made it to the Shawl. Plyva was different from others in some of her fashion choices, but more importantly in her habits. Tiny things, like the way she used to sit, made her different, while hiding nothing from her Aes Sedai nature.
Callesa sighed and put the found ribbon in her brand new notebook. After all, you never have too many bookmarkers.

Re: The Month of Remembrance..
Grief.. I miss sitting at well with her talking about stuff.
And Dorgo. Never met another fade who would consistently risk his neck just to go back and bail out a stuck trolloc. He always got them out or died trying.

Re: The Month of Remembrance..
Alexis Sedai! She was probably my closest friend on the mud. I played with her across all ults. We were like glue. I was so proud of the day she downed her Yellow Shaw. There is no one more deserving in my option. I miss her.
