Request: Darkside starters guide

Could anyone more familiar with DS than myself possibly do a write up with advice, tips and guidance for people looking to try it? I'd like to put it on the wiki or reddit pages as a quick reference for anyone in need.

I'd also be interested in a room guide with all the usual PK place names for northern pk.

DS doesn't need a guide because everyone is nice there. All you do is login and narrate that you're new and you want help.
