LVL 1 No-Chat

Any chance of revisiting No-Chat at lvl 1? The community has matured a bit, and the 1-3 minutes it takes to get to lvl 2 was never an impediment for social terrorists anyway. It does, however, impede my ability to chat as I casually stat. Witty comments rely on quick timing, and having to wait 1-3 minutes to get them out ruins the jokes. Whether anyone else finds them funny or not is fodder for another topic.

^^ This! It might help at least some of the time with people who are at the keyboard, but not actively hitting k sapling.

Yeah, wouldn't mind it going away. It was a little annoying trying to reply to chats at level 1 but mostly I'm thinking you probably want newbies to be able to ask questions right off the bat. One less thing to bounce off of when starting out!

Agree, it's not newbie friendly at all for those that need help. I'd default it to level 1 chat enabled with all channels turned on

Yes, I am going to revisit the newbie defaults. Things I am planning to change:
- Have "color complete" by default
- Have all channels on by default
- Have communications echo on by default
- Be able to use chat at level 1
Any others to consider?

change spam 1 is one I always turn on.
