Question about the mendbug

So because I'm such a genius, I sometimes begin mending my weapon and then immediately type "where" or "who" or hit the Look key, thinking (or not thinking) that the mend wont be interrupted. I mend again and let it go through start to finish.

And I'm wondering if there's something else I need to do in those cases? I re-mend as stated in the room desc, so should I mail Staff every time "hey, me again, yes I know...." ??
