The Laws of Saldaea - question
Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
Blanket warrants are allowed these days, don't see much of an issue with Seanchan being blanket warranted, you are an invading army. Now it is up to you to go into talks with the different clans - much like you did with the northern ones - if you want to change the warrant status. Opens up different dynamics if people are prepared to change their roleplay to fit our current mud, or leave it as it is, with seanchan just being x-purple trollocs.
Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
This says they cannot make a rule for an area outside their control, not just make a rule involving warranting. A rule involving banishment is still a rule. Also, the banishment loophole just gets abused. They make a rule that let's them banish a party, and that party think it's unfair and show up there, they get warranted? How is telling someone they're banished from the Borderlands any different than just warranting them, anyway? You may not attempt to make a rule for any area outside of your nation's control
Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
Seanchan are an invading army, but blanket warrants are nothing but lazy. Warrant and attacking Seanchan when they attack...not just for being on the who list. Warrants should not be able to be given unless the person being warranted are actually in the zone of control of the person giving the warrant. There is a thought.

This.julianna wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 1:34 pmI thought you could banish people for just about anything, but warrants had to be based on actions taken/comitted in the clan’s territory. I mean, all Tower members are blanket warranted by Seanchan and that’s how the whole Compie-Defenders-WG war used to run. But maybe that understanding fell by the wayside with the new warranting rules?
The Warranting Rules state that you can't make rules for things that occurred outside of your territory or to a person other than a member of that clan. And yes, you can banish for just about anything.
Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
Again, this was how it used to be( ie. CoL couldn't warrant channelers unless they saw them channel, TV couldn't warrant CoL unless they attacked a member), but blanket warrants are now allowed. You are the enemy, every seanchan these days is clanned/applicant, meaning they are part of the military - doesn't make sense for you not to be warranted, your overall purpose or goal is to conquer, unless you have made some deal/treaty with x nation.Octavio wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 1:51 pmSeanchan are an invading army, but blanket warrants are nothing but lazy. Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
Man you people are so weak. Mostly looking at you Meren/Hasp/Anor. Hasp/Meren I don’t know you, my statement stands, but Anor you know better. You’ve played long enough. Stop whining.
Those laws have pretty much, with the exception of a few, been in effect with the northern clans since the start. There are treaties that have been in place since about the same. WT to Saldaea/Andor etc. Get over it.
To you people whining about banishment and blanket warranting, it’s perfectly clear and acceptable why those things are taking place. You don’t want a warrant or to be banished? Don’t play a seanchan. Or make your own treaties if you do. Pretty simple no?
It’s players like you that have made imms have to be so chortlesnorfling heavy handed at times. All this whining and crying over petty and silly things. At no point should an imm have to step in. You don’t like it, figure out how you can change it or do something about it in game. You feel put upon that the wicked SalCav or whoever is going to warrant you for taking gear you didn’t earn and don’t deserve, from whatever place? Fight them. Whatever. But stop crying. And stop pounding your chests and acting like everything is a conspiracy and that imms need to be there to fix everything. Anyone try mailing the councils involved to get clarity or maybe point out a mistake? Nah you took it to public boards in the hopes of bandwagoning and getting “moral” support.
So damn pathetic

Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
That a clan's policies or laws have been in contravention with the game rules for a long time does not legitimise those laws, or their illegal rulings.
Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
Edited you in Meren
Re: The Laws of Saldaea - question
lol yea. I was warranted on a rogue level 14 in the last two months because I had a leatherleaf staff and I MUST be a channeler. It's a power trip, plain and simple.Ragyn wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 2:47 pmAgain, this was how it used to be( ie. So what you do then, is you appeal the warrant, as always.
