Clanning Requirements Compilation
Clanning Requirements Compilation
I wish to remake the clanning requirements page both here and flesh it out on the WotMUD wiki. If any clans could mail me their info, I'll take care of posting it in these locations for em.
Re: Clanning Requirements Compilation
Forresters:
These are the Ogier that call the Great Forest home.
Requirements to Clan:
-Hunter
-Level 30
-90 Track
-Must submit IC background story in line with Ogier RP
The applicant is then taken on as an apprentice. We have 6 quests they must complete before clanning, as well as a verbal and functional pk test.
These are designed to be achievable by a player new to the game, and ensure the applicant is a well rounded player.

Re: Clanning Requirements Compilation
Mantorok,
That sounds pretty exciting, actually. It's good to see Forresters are once again opening their doors to applicants!
Can you provide a little more detail as to what you are expecting in terms of the Ogier story background? Are you treating this clanning as a pseudo-remort where the character is no longer human and "becomes Ogier" in some way, presumably just RP-ly? What exactly are you looking for there?
Thanks!
Yves

Oh, that was what Vyo sent me about it so I posted it here and on the wiki.
Re: Clanning Requirements Compilation
The Illian Companions
The basic requirements needed for an aspirant are as follows:
Aspirant must be a loyal citizen of Illian and reside within Illian’s borders. This includes knowledge of the surrounding areas and nations that reside on the coast of the Sea of Storms. (Focused on Illian and including general zone knowledge from Amadicia all the way to Mayene.)
Aspirant’s level must equal that of 25 normal men, 30 at time of induction to the ranks.
Good standing with all nations. No warrants will be acceptable, not even those with the fish smelling Tairens. Illian will not be a refuge for villainy. Any warrants by the nation of Tear must be received after gaining service to King and Council.

Defenders of the Stone
Applicants are encouraged to reside in Tairen lands and learn its zones. Knowledge of the surrounding zone is encouraged and considered as a mark in the applicants favor but further training as a soldier of the Stone will allow the applicant increases their knowledge of Tairen lands.
The applicant should posses the strength of 25 men and train towards the needed 30 at his or her induction.
We seek persons of sound character and good conduct to join our ranks. The person willing to join should be in good standing and without warrants with the rest of the world though leniency might be given for warrants from those rebels in Mayene and those pesky Illianer dogs.
Any person that wishes to apply should mail to Edrin Hardiger and the members of the council, Tarak, Fuujin and Joreer.

Children of the Light:
To be eligible for serving in the Children of the Light, you must:
-a roleplay log showing a solid understanding of Child of Light roleplay
This is followed by a clanning vote, which is aimed at letting the applicant interact with as many Children as possible and have people actually notice there is a vote.
To be eligible for serving in the Children of the Light, you must:
- Be at least level 25.
- Have no warrants from any nations, excepting possibly a Tar Valon warrant.
- Send an in character letter to any active Child, listing why you wish to serve the Light as a Child.

Re: Clanning Requirements Compilation
Wisdoms
Every so often, the Wisdoms will accept applicants generally. During this time, applicants should be female, level 20+, have a good reputation with no warrants and have no innocent mobs on trophy. Previously, channelers have not been able to apply - this restriction has since been removed. Applicants should remember that Wisdoms are predominately a roleplay clan and even simple things such as application letters are very important.
Alternatively, a girl may convince an individual Wisdom to apprentice her at any time. The above requirements still apply. An apprentice to an individual Wisdom may put her apprentice up for clan vote when and if she deems her ready. An apprentice should consider herself an applicant and attempt to meet with as many Wisdoms as possible during her apprenticeship.

Winged Guard
Potential applicants should be level 20+ and be of good reputation. Enquiries should be may to any member of Recruitment (Theq or Crenna, currently) or any Council member (Santino and Aldwyn, currently). The Winged Guard will accept any level of ability to become an applicant. By the time you are ready to clan, you will know the lands of Mayene and be able to defend yourself in battle against the Defenders of the Stone or any others who threaten the First and Mayene. The Winged Guard do value roleplay as well, so expect to do plenty of it before you clan.

Gleeman
Be level 20+ with no warrants and a good reputation. Channelers need not apply, nor will they be clanned. Contact an individual Gleeman to apprentice directly with him or her and demonstrate your ability to perform (and roleplay) and your Glee-master will put you up for voting when they deem you ready.
