The funniest part about this is it wasn't two double flees, once I got two rooms away and just spammed back in.

~100hp in 2 combat rounds from a full dodge char on a full abs char. I definitely don't love that projectiles are better than a zerk abs master. Second time in two days I've died to the same mechanics :(

Recommend unzerking to chase and zerking once you land the bash to get the attack in. That way you can flee off if he throws something at you.

If you want the benefit of zerk bash, the risk that you'll take against a projectile user is that you sit there like a lump while they throw stuff at you. Zerk attack on a master is extremely powerful, but it isn't a guaranteed win against xyz set up and shouldn't be.

Agreed. But equally find it frustrating that there's a setup which can have full dodge, 150 db, stab, and still go toe to toe in damage dealt, with a mechanism that interrupts bash timer, and with an autowimpy meaning they have a get-out clause if a bash does land. The ability to rewield/sheath primary weapon to get around projectile lag across 3+ throws seems to dodge the designed limitation on the setup.

Also just noticed that when bash is interrupted by a projectile, you still get a round of lag as if you've cancelled the bash yourself? So you miss the next combat round.

you know why! abs is garbage so of course it should have 5k maluses vs other setups since they take so much longer to gather and the point of the game is to spend time gathering things :) :) :)

I think most people would agree projectiles are dumb and no one would care if they completely went away. Also woe is not you abs master warriors :p If played right Fermin could of easily died there. Was played rather poorly as pointed out by Erulak. Fermin is probably in the best kit possible. I'm guessing Pulverwise had a basic set and weapon.

I actually think projectiles are kind of cool to have in the game, just some of the features as they stack shown above don't really seem particularly balanced. Remove lost round if they interrupt a bash? Tweak coding so you can't just set up triggers to throw multiple/draw lag? Move them to warrior practices so you actually have to make a trade off rather than still having 2h sblade + all stab pracs?

You all forgot the malus of 2h projectiles. Like 0 parry while throwing. The key there would have been to just melee zerk. They lose a round while in throw lag and you do the kersplat. Know your set ups, people!

This is correct. You would have killed him while he was throwing at you if you just didn’t bash and used your initial rounds and attack rounds to hit him while he had no defense. He was even buffing trees to split what parry he might have had as well.
