sigh, pking 2 stabbers camp, spamming for hidden obviously

guess it pays off to roll stabs even when people know you are there since they might hit lag spikes like this

It always pays to roll stabs. Get hit? Flee and try again later. Goes through? Chance for wizkill. The whole class is annoying and people who play it just want ez mode. Especially troll thieves and wbs with unlimited mvs.

So true. Stab and charge should have a 250 hp cap.

Always thought a good solution would be to:

(1) up the chances of stabs landing (less bricks)
(2) make stab a % of total hps. For example, if the rolled % was 90%, then the stab could still do 360 hp worth of damage to a healthy opponent with 400 hps. But if you land on an opponent with 30 hps, then it would only do 27 hps of damage. That way stabs can still hurt, but you always have to chase your opponents down to kill them, you don't get a wizkill.

yeah lets make all skills do % of total hps

high damage skills like ice spikes could do like max 10-30% but killing hits would always require melee hits.

Interesting idea. Maybe some weaves could be like that and other weaves could have fixed damage. Some weaves would need fixed damage though otherwise channelers could never kill anything.

Stabbers right now can have 400+ hps, amazing defense/db, can wizkill with stab, and have the highest melee damage output/ob for non-rares, all at the same time. And also can practice projectiles to high % levels :)

The correct comparison for a weave that can wizkill you from healthy or scratched if you lag or fail a flee or something small like that is incinerate.

Ice spikes already takes only a % of your full hps and has to be weaved 4-5 times to kill someone.

It's hilarious how OP stab is while at the same time against anything other than abs it doesn't seem to have any function besides like a mob splitting defence which maybe encourages the playstyle of constant flee to roll stabs and hope for some luck on the timing.

Stab wars - link, triggers, random luck on who will win. Profit - full sets, high tps from solo kills, easy qps

Vs abs - last time my rogue fought an abser it was such a joke. Always the chance to do massive damage to a failed bash, fleehit the dung out of him and laughed at the patrol he tried to use, then projectiled him 4x to finish in irondoor.

Vs combo basher or channeler - best chance outside of constantly fleeing and rolling with the HOPE of a missed bash, a re-enter, a typo, a lag spurt etc is to melee at mobs and hope it breaks their defence. They hope you build enough fleelag to sit through the bash or weaves. People like snorgg with great link can do this infinitely in a zone like blight by watching fleelag and running culhook circles while you hag pers. No comment on this playstyle except that it gets dull and people leave. Running circles in normal setups is usually a "I can't fight you and I'm stalling to move to teammates or to get moved to take this to a better zone/mobs for me or trying to leave" so a move to discourage the other side. Here it's the main tactic.

Vs Dodge channeler (and all the above) - pk with numbers, roll constantly and hope for a lucky stab. Zone awareness, setups, estimates, game mechanics besides hide;backstab not needed.

All this not counting the free wizkill called time stab.

PS - no need to berserk or take any kind of risks.. ever. However if you do get sufficiently bored, most likely ways to suicide:
