Man I have literally 0 luck anymore

Lurking to the north is the mass of twisted tress, bushes, and vegetation
that is Haddon Mirk. The darkness that seems to come from within is an
eerie partner to the screams of wild beasts that drift out from time to

the east, barren grasslands border off the huge forest abruptly.

The path becomes perilous here as the path drops off the edge into a valley.

the valley a hundred paces down is a mountain lake, fed by a waterfall off

lake, creating an oasis in the mountain. It is too bad there is no way to get
down there. A small ridge of stone stretches from the peak west to the peak
east blocks any passage north. The cliff continues on eastward.

Path Through the Mountains
The path widens out here as it winds its way around the mountain to east
and the lower peaks to the west. North the path narrows and disappears
around an outcropping of stone. Sparse groupings of bushes cling to life on
the mount to the east, while brown withered grass and thin stands of fir
trees grow amongst the hills west. Northward the path seems to drop away
from sight. It looks dangerous to keep on in this direction. Much of the
countryside can be watched from this spot.

Precarious Path
The possibility of riding off the edge of this path into the river fify
spans down is a very real one. Loose gravel and stones shift underfoot
making balance precarious. The ground has begun sloping up as it curves

Winding Path
The riverbank curves begins curving northward around the large peak to east.
The icy river flows onward carving deep into the stones as rushes by. To the
north the path begins to slope upwards. On the peak itself scraggly bushes
cling to life and lichen spreads over the stones. The only sounds are the
rushing of the river and the scratching and clicking of stones underfoot.
Occasionally the wind whistles down the mount.

The rivers winds its way on westward, while here there is a great tangle of
trees washed out of place by some long ago flood. Looking northward over the
rushing water shows a dense forest of giant trees and wild bushes. Just to

southeast a craggy peak rises suddenly as the land changes. A few wild
animals
are visible climbing about the peak. The wind sweeps down with a chill from
that high place.

The trees loom high overhead, rustling branches and leaves merging with the
sounds of birds to form a woodland symphony. Only the breaking of twigs
underfoot disrupts the natural sounds of the forest. The path continues west

Towering trees dwarf the ruins of a once proud manor to the north.
Destroyed years ago by accident or by the wars which wracked these lands,

the undergrowth like bones.

Another stand of giantsbroom grows here. Just to the south edge of the trail

wild rose bush grows around the base of the trees, blocking passage south. A
hedge of coarse thistle and stinkweed, grows north of the trail. Moving

Here deep in the forest grows a whole stand of the rare giantsbroom tree. The
trunks rise a pace into the air, then split into many branches, the branches
rise straight into the air before splitting into many tiny branches with
leafy
brush topping it. It is reminiscent of the broom a goodwife uses to sweep,
though much larger, hence the name. There are a number of these stands
scattered here. A song birds nest is nestled among the branches.

Opening Within the Forest
The trees open up a bit more here, allowing more brush to grow. A path
leads north where you can push your way through the ivy. West is a large
mound with more bushes growing atop it. Southward the forest grows thicker,
darkening the path. The sounds of animals echo all around the forest, yet
they are seldom visable. The gaps through the trees make this an excellent
spot from which to watch the activities in the area.

An animal run starts here, leading deeper into the forest. Tall trees rise

Small pine and oak trees grow here on the edge of a great forest. A great
ridge
of stone rises to the north and east, as it bends southward, blocking passage
east. At second glance there does seem to be an opening into the ridge,

a way to the other side, only exploration will tell for sure. South, just
visable through the trees is a large roof of some kind, no visable path leads
to it. Strange out here in the wilderness. West leads you deeper into the
forest.

There is the dim sight of sky farther to the west and the a small breeze
filters its way into the cave. The river makes a sharp turn south here, but
the
opening is too small to follow. In this part of the cave, vines of quartz
ripple across the walls, reflecting the dim light from outside. You can see
clearly here the stalactites jutting from the ceiling here and the source of
the dripping water has been found on the southern face of the cave as a
trickle
of water comes down from a crack above.

rising with little warning. Visible is a small opening where the river makes
its way into the stone, it is the only exit available except heading back
into
the forest.

Cave Under the Ridge
There is the dim sight of sky farther to the west and the a small breeze
filters its way into the cave. The river makes a sharp turn south here, but
the
opening is too small to follow. In this part of the cave, vines of quartz
ripple across the walls, reflecting the dim light from outside. You can see
clearly here the stalactites jutting from the ceiling here and the source of
the dripping water has been found on the southern face of the cave as a
trickle
of water comes down from a crack above.

Small pine and oak trees grow here on the edge of a great forest. A great

of stone rises to the north and east, as it bends southward, blocking passage
east. At second glance there does seem to be an opening into the ridge,

they are seldom visable. The gaps through the trees make this an excellent
spot from which to watch the activities in the area.

Stand of Giantsbroom
Here deep in the forest grows a whole stand of the rare giantsbroom tree. The
trunks rise a pace into the air, then split into many branches, the branches
rise straight into the air before splitting into many tiny branches with
leafy
brush topping it. It is reminiscent of the broom a goodwife uses to sweep,
though much larger, hence the name. There are a number of these stands
scattered here. A song birds nest is nestled among the branches.
