It would make stab way worse, and other skills would need to be looked at for similar design, but shouldn't anyone engaging the stabber interrupt it? I guess from a flavor standpoint it makes sense. How about if you (coding) rescue an unengaged player it forces them to assist you, putting them in the stabber? Just looking for ways other players can help another group member not get stabbed. As of now it's move or break thieves' defense only? I guess search h.dark would make chances really low - how viable is that?

That sounds terrible. Just spam rescue on someone to get them to assist you fighting? Would be super abused.

As an obviously biased stabber character, I think it makes perfect sense for a stab timer to continue regardless :p

I always imagine that I'm sneaking up beside someone to stab them. If someone interferes and I dodge around them, I can continue on to my target to stab. If they notice the commotion, they turn around and engage. If they don't... :)

Avoiding a backstabber is a very personal skill I don't think anything some other player can do will help you other than tell you that one is around and to be on the lookout and spam

You're right, it was an infant idea. Just wondering how stab could be made healthier for PK. Any ideas?

thorny brambles and dying trees. The grass is unusually high and sharp,
with some nettles spread out in it. To the west there seems to be a couple
of apple trees that yet cling to life.

Sickly, wilted grass blankets the ground, intermixed with dry sand.

ripe, yet sweet. All around you are sickly and broken trees with black and

off a massive forest fire in the surrounding area.
