Had been getting bashed pretty consistently in the fight up till this point, was definitely not expecting this...

And this is why I still try stabs in nohides. Didn't even attempt to hide, just went straight for the stab. No point in wasting mvs.

In all my years of playing, I've attempted hundreds of nohide stabs. I've landed about 12-15. It's fun to scare people with the clumsy. But it's firetrucking EPIC when you land one and they really freak out! *snicker*

Rogues should be capped at 14 con and max hps of 250 since they do more damage than fcs.

No arguments that trolloc rogues are the easiest stattable class to play, survive, and succeed on. The parry adjustment, notice adjustment, and the short blade damage (read: melee/stab damage adjustment) are all good adjustments that make the class feel a lot more balanced than in recent memory. Doesn't change the fact that your take and ideas are bad!

Best changes would be:

1) Change defensive posture parry to +10.
2) Apply master damage on a scaled basis (defensive 50%, normal 75%, offensive 100%)
3) Retool notice. Remove the movement cost to having it on for everyone. It's enough that hitting a hidden target reliably costs mvs or higher pracs in notice. In turn, remove the innate stab land protection from notice.

Rogues are quite dangerous to newbies or afk people. I see that would concern you as that describes you (newbies) or your preferred prey (afk people), but as Jestin carried you for years as a rogue I don't think you should complain!

Some of these are meant to be reasonable and some of these are not.

(1) Allow postures only to be changed once per tick.
(2) When a backstab is rolling the rogue loses -10PB/-10DB like channelers who are weaving.
(3) Take away any multiplier on sitting people. No one sits except bashers who missed a bash.
(4) Rogues backstab timer increases just like charge.
(5) The backstab command costs 2 moves for every use.
(6) Make hide cost substantially more moves - like 5.
(7) Remove any crossover between sneak and ranger sneak.
(8) Remove "rank damage" from attack rounds

Its funny though - when you write the above. Obviously several are obnoxious and I wrote them somewhat comically. Overall they are meant to make the class overall more difficult to succeed on but they really don't address blicking at all except removing the sitting multiplier.

I think the only way they ever figure out stab damage is either capping it or inventing a separate stab and melee damage dice ie. 4d5 when melee but 3d6 when stabbing.

Yeah stab is realy out of control particularly for WBs and troll thieves. I mean look at the Reaver list, it's all troll thieves, a fade who was a thief, a random entry (Bruce), and a fade who got a lucky kill on Castien.
