As you can see, these players fled once a DL came into the room. They have 0 experience fighting channelers obviously, or they wouldn't have been scared for their lives vs a berserk crit fade buffing full dodge heron and full dodge sblade whom happened to both be scratched.

I doubt they know Zang's zerk there since all Alaina sees is a wall of text and Zang gets bashed too fast for his attack to go off.

Wasn't there or on, but my guess is what happened was a) Alaina runs b) Randal is low enough from drain that he's worried about eating fireballs and/or is fleeing to take care of Alaina. Randal gets unlucky on the part below walking through the room while Zangief is bashed and then engaging on the fade mob, which is 1.fade after walking into the room. 2-3 rounds of bashed master damage might have made the difference. Once he flees there, he doesn't come back, so he's probably running too. If LS don't know Zang's zerk, then I can see why they flee off and re-enter to avoid the bash/weaves and/or anticipate his flee and catch him in the next room, which is what happens.

They probably get the kill if they don't flee, but I'm not sure that means they misplayed it.

Don't think you can say they didn't misplay that, crit heron wielding fade sticking around vs 2 full hp dodgers and not trying to chase after the low channie/warder or not trying at least to flee re-enter to make mobs buff its probably a semi safe bet that he is serk and if not, then just land a bash on him and kill him/send him fleeing and then worry about chasing. Hell even if he does bash one of you chances are you'll autowimpy out before you are in any real danger.

Randal attacking 1.fade instead of targetting by name was unlucky as well. Unlucky as well that Reen engaged Zangief one pulse too late to stop him changing mood.

Assuming that this was the "right play", I would argue that the only way it could be improved upon would be to rent immediately upon logging in.

Reen's the only one in the log still obviously going for the kill, so then the question is, why might fleeing and re-entering there appear like the best chance of finishing Zangief? Not saying it's necessarily the right play (for some of Ragyn's reasons,) just that it's not good analysis to be tautological by suggesting it's a good play if they get the kill, it's a bad play if they don't get the kill. That's bad thinking. We've all got kills or lived by doing something stupid, and ripped or missed out on kills from making the right play. And we've all seen logs of similar situations where a dodger goes from full hps to dead in a bash.

Cheap digs are satisfying, but not very compelling as explanations or as guides for what to do in a similar situation.

Sometimes you also flee off the patty because you assume the beat/crit guy is about to flee himself. Then he don't and you're sad. There are a lot of reasons for their actions; they were just all the wrong reasons.
