How would you playerkill yourself?

Post by Paj » Tue Apr 12, 2016 11:28 pm

A bit irate, PKing in circles and being one of the few who die. I've fought half-a-dozen fades in the past week and killed none. So if you were PKing yourself, how would you kill you, given you were fighting yourself. Doors are easy to PK in, but nobody wants to chase in a door. It's a boring irritating way to die. I understand that.

Paj dies easy enough, you just make him think you're low so he'll berserk, then you call in more. That or just whittle away on his abs.

How would you, given the chance, catch and kill yourself? Or is it really this boring answer of 'you won't, becuase I'll flee around however many numbers you have, run far away from doors, and fade away'.

I pk till I myself am dead or you are dead. Unless humans leave or bring more than one channeler vs just me.

Mostly since I can't bash you dead:(

Few people live because they're good; most people who don't die often only do so because they don't take risks. I think that if you can wrap your head around that, it won't be quite as annoying to deal with.

I'd kill me by either having someone zerk-bait me, which is pretty easy, or have someone door me, which is also pretty easy. The game isn't fun without risks, imo, so I'll never understand why a lot of people play the way they do.

Not dying/taking risks is f'ing boring. And boring to play against.

People who run 10 zones away and loop back when they're low, so boring. It's not that people -can't- chase you, it's just boring.

Don't be boring. Be like Paj. And also Lykan is generally not boring.

Fades mostly die...

a. failing flees due to no-rides
b. eating bashes with several channies in the room
c. some blend of the above

The bonus that saves them the most is the one you can't do much about: mounted ranger-sneak. Best way to get around this is to fight in chokey zones where you can chase them down, predict their double-lines regardless of which direction they flee, etc.

Like Ecthus said, know your opponent. The thing that screws me the most, is someone that knows I'm an ok player(not meaning to toot my own horn here). Don't go and block where they expect. Say we are commy winding for example... Know that it is very unlikely that I run north. It is more likely that being a seasoned player, I will expect that and run south and loop around. That being said, I have also learned over the years as a rogue that people HATE chasing me. I can pk mostly haggard, run a couple rooms, and be safe because people refuse to chase me. BE PERSISTENT!!! Chase me for all its worth. It doesn't take too long to build up flee lag and eat a bash. If I could give one tip, it would be not to give up. Most people let rogues off way too easy.

Most my deaths are due to eating bashes with channies in the room

Or being low myself and rolling a bash on a low channie and missing, eating a weave in return.

Most fades are combo characters with good def and good damage. Those are hard to kill. Good ol'abs me is most of the time not to hard to kill ;)

Well I imagine that is due to the fact that you have to have notice on chasing a rogue - off chance that they hide in a room, which in turn kills your moves, rogues having sneak with some residues in ranger sneak, which often fucks up tracks so you have to manual track them - sometimes that doesn't work either, so you have to run around until track actually picks up the tracks-, which in turn also kills moves. Really chasing a trolloc rogue who isn't fleelagged and isn't low and doesn't want to die, might be the most boring thing ever.

For me I generally PK until either I'm dead or the other side is, if it is fun PK - if it is just me against a bunch of stabbers then I usually just go in and do something else for awhile.

Being out chased. I don't know a single spam by heart. Many others do. I also don't really ever go in unless I'm less than 50 hps and no crannies are around or less than 80ish if a channel is around. No one really chases anymore though. My last 5-6 deaths have been berserk, berserk berserk, inside FD, inside FD, and inside FD. There may have been 1 where Kyr killed me simply by chasing, he was fairly low I was really low but I thought I could land a nice bash. I didn't.

Killing you yesterday made me laugh out loud after a long while. Paj had mob died deception pass, it was Paj, Betir, Venue, and Darlana vs me. I was mob dropping hard. Paj finally mob died then dropped out Locksheare where he ratted and I ran there and player killed him. Oh yeah Corath was there too.

Was hilarious. I hope you got your gear back though.

PK flows different knowadays because everyone knows the normal pk zones and all the tricks too well. You either have to really stick your neck out or have horrible luck and 7 will to die on the reg.

I think mob strength and location needs to drastically change to spice things up every so often. I really think Ragan needs to go to push pk south. Beef up camp to help trolls. Move commie off of winding to make it a dying ground again.

It might be a good idea to make a mini-camp around FD fade and put Commie back near his old spot, but rideable...

...who cares if it works, just shake things up a bit.
