Braem Wood off the Road
The outskirts of the Braem Wood start here, with oak saplings, bushes and
conifers arranged according to nature's whim. The sounds of traffic can be
heard to the west, while the way east leads you into the Braem Wood.
Although there are plenty of scrubs, trees and bushes visible to the south,
the way is blocked by the city walls that are visible in the distance.

Road through Outer Caemlyn
Along the wide, paved road through outer Caemlyn, travel is fast and comfort-
able. Dwellings and warehouses line the sides of the road, some as many as
three stories tall. Washing hangs to dry in some of the upper stories,
pointing
to the fact that the dwellings are well occupied. The road continues north
through outer Caemlyn and leads to a tall gate set in the huge wall guarding
Caemlyn proper to the south. The Braem wood grows thick to the east, and you
seem to be able to force your way through the undergrowth here.

Road through Outer Caemlyn
In the outermost part of Caemlyn the number of dwellings decreases, compared
to other parts of the city. The buildings look slightly run down, and
anything
taller than two stories is a rarity. Hazarding a guess, one would say that
poorer folk live here. The road itself is still wide and smooth, but in some
places weeds grow between the paving stones. To the north, the road continues
toward Tar Valon, while taller buildings can be seen flanking the road not
far
to the south.

Just outside of Caemlyn, the smooth, wide road is in excellent condition,
perfect for fast travel. Interlocking, granite paving stones are laid in a
simple pattern, and not a blade of grass can be seen growing between the
stones. To the south, the road continues through the outskirts of Caemlyn and
going north starts the long journey to Tar Valon.

The settlements gradually, almost reluctantly, give way to the wilderness.
The road is in excellent condition, however, free from vegetation and
apparently well-kept in general. Looking to the south, you can see the
silhouette of Caemlyn in the distance, while the road north leads on towards
the city of Tar Valon.

The sounds of the forest surround you as you enter. This appears to have
been a road at one time from the way the trees are smaller and younger
here. The road is mostly overgrown with grass and bushes, especially to the
east. There is not much sign of human use in recent years. There are many
game
trails though, so hunting should be good. The road leads west, deeper
into Braem Wood.

Other than being hard to pass because it is now overgrown this road seems
pleasant. You relax as your senses drink in the sounds, sights and smells
of the forest around you.

several animals drank from it. Most of them are small but one set stands

Street in an Abandoned Town
The forest opens up here into a large clearing which appears to be the
remains
of an abandoned town. Weeds and bushes have grown up in the road, and many of
the houses have small trees rising up through the center. Few buildings here
still have all four walls. To the east the forgotten road leads away. To the
west
you can see a fountain. To the north is a wall with a large chimney in it. To
the south lies the ruins of a small house.

This must have been the center of a small town hundreds of years ago. There
is an empty fountain here. It is sculpted from stone with graceful lines,
but time and disuse have taken their toll. It is cracked on one side and over

the crack. To the north you see an abandoned street. To the east and west the
forgotten road leads out of town. To the south a road slopes down toward
a small lake.

The Store Room
This appears to be the only structure that still has a roof on it around
here.
Actually it looks like it has two. Its own and a large piece of the roof
from the inn to the west which covers the holes created by several pieces
of fallen timber. There appear to be miscellaneous tools and stuff piled in
the corner covered with dust. This area must have been well used. The floor
is worn smooth.

The forest breaks to the north up a large hill with a rocky top. To the east
is a lonely looking stable in the middle of the woods. There are tracks
that show people have been here recently but no one is in sight. A trail
