Was a lot of fun! I have very limited experience leading so far, so I appreciate you all being great sports and giving us a chance to chase.

I'd love some advice on what we could have improved upon, and what I could've done better specifically. In hindsight, I do know we should've planned to regroup somewhere less chokey and with mob support; I just suggested a common callout room because I thought it would be easy for the others to find.

We also weren't all consistently weaving on the same person, so I could've done better calling out targets as well.

3 channies and one basher, in general, is not a fun or easy group to lead. I usually think of each channie having diminishing returns. One in a group is great, but 3 is rough. You're either going to be too strong or too weak, and it can change really quickly. Definitely calling targets would have been good there. Out of the 6 spikes at ent, 1 was on Zarth, 3 on Rig, and 2 on Drogba.

In terms of regroups, it is probably best to call one at mobs, even weak ones like the ancients n e of ent or 2n e of shady., or even allw of DF choke since people don't have to force their way south then. Once Liia was dead, we definitely had the advantage and were going to chase aggressively, so you need to split up the chasers with the mobs.

Before hitting in camp, it's generally best to send a scout through to see where players and mobs are.

It's hard to chase on a channie in openish zones. But once we fled from 6w, you can pretty safely assume we're going to either be at the no-channel in blands or in camp. We were at the no-channel for a bit until patty walked in, then went to camp after that.

Unless you're communicating something constructive or to someone not in the room with you you're wasting weave timing with lots of things that aren't weaving.
(this is also one of the reasons a basher is often a good leader, can communicate while opposition bashed without opportunity cost)
Same goes for target setting and sending tells, every thing done mid combat is not weaving. Weaving on dark isn't a bad option with 3 channies, weaving untargeted on your combat target is the only real bad target unless you know that target is low(or low enough to scare out of the fight early).

For example at the start of your(Sarinda) log I'll break down your actions just in the first engagement.

You start tracking trolloc(good), it goes 5 pulses after enemy enters room then you hit kill dark, then you narrate on camp entrance(you're 1e), then you hit kill dark again, then you embrace(Revescaal has executed a full bash already), then you set zarth as target, then you start channeling flame strike zarth.
The flamestrike lands, then you diagnose zarth mid combat.
Then you hit kill dark again, then you look at the weather.
Then you start an ice spike without a target.
You then cancel the ice spike with a kill dark and hit kill dark again.

Every single part of this first engagement can be replaced with channeling ice spikes at 1.dark or 2.dark or a target set before combat.
If you haven't set a target beforehand then narrating to target, trying to target or getting other people to swap targets mid fight has a high potential opportunity cost.

Every action executed is not channeling part of an ice spike.
1.dark is always the most recent to have entered room.
Every kill dark when there's not rogues around or you're already engaged is not damage.

A lot of communication can be done beforehand or after battle has ended, be ruthless, ignore liia dying(your group can have seen her leave party themselves as well), dont send tells until combat is done. She autofled south from camp entrance and went full duration of a bash from crit zarth without leaving the room. It's entirely possible(Not in this instance) that her staying in that room is additional opportunity cost of her trying to swap targeting in the middle of combat in response to a targeting narrate, if you haven't set targets beforehand let default targeting remain.(another weakness of channie leading)


To summarize: channel damage at all time, everything a non channie leader can do mid combat pales beside outputting damage.
Prep for fights(checking weather, targeting, regroup spots).
