Autowimpy is a fickle friend, in this case however your flee + fleelag in combination with the bash by Rark did you in:

If you had not entered a manual flee there, the bash or the first hit after the bash might have gotten you out of there.
Or it might have not - you never know for sure :-)

Autowimpy does not kick in if there's already a manual flee going.

As you can see she never narrated but I think before this fight there was a scouting of you, so I had been tracking west through WB out north, saw the bloodies through the cave...figured you were fighting someone...

Was tracking 1s of that room and I heard the deathcry, and Rark was still fast enough to get out of the way of my charge!
