Re: Stab Thread
Well someone is running a script. Here's the facts of the matter... I went spine cause I heard raven say Noam was there but when I got there he was gone. I didn't have any skins or food so I went mayene to kill the village grocer and stock up. I passed from Tall Thief zone through the quick cut into drownedlands a good 10 minutes before this happened. I was returning from Mayene to Secret to rest and go home. I quite literally spammed through and returned to the room I got stabbed in, in roughly 1 second. That was the time it took me to notice the hidden figure and type E (enter). My tracks were old, and there's really no way they would have known I was coming back that way.

Re: Stab Thread
Yeah, or you left tracks all over the ways and then in one direction going south and were being hunted. Your tracks were clear recents by the time I followed them to the split between Mayene/Tear, so obviously you were still around. Also, that wasn't the first timer I'd started on you, nor was it the first room you walked past me in. It just happened to be the time you got caught by the second of the successive stab spam. Sorry there weren't any shitty expers for you to run from and you caught the attention of someone who knows what they're doing!
Re: Stab Thread
I caught the attention of a script runner.
I didn't leave tracks ALL OVER the ways I left tracks in a very specific direction and THOSE were 20+ IRL minutes old. As for my tracks near there, those too were old, not fresh because I spammed through there looking for a smell in drownedlands, which I followed to Mayene, but they went in teh city and I needed food/blood so I spent the next 10 minutes killing the blacksmith and GD OP grocer mob.
As for knowing what you're doing versus me "running" from some shitty expers... You are skilled, I give credit where it's due, but being bonused to firetruck only makes it easier on you. I am far from unskilled, myself, but do not enjoy the benefits of being a wolf brother which is essentially a trolloc (for moves and smells) but with human pracs and sick clan bonuses. And running from shitty expers, I spend most of my time running from groups of 5-8 (often containing masters with mobs and/or Aes-Warder pairs) thank you very much. No mere "shitty exper" is enough to chase me off. It should be more like 2-3 shitty expers.... give me some credit too, ya know.
Next time I see you deep in DS controlled territory, the way I go solo into puke controlled lands, I'll take a moment to stop and teach you how a real stabber pks, and not someone that just stands and spams backstab h.dark and may or may not be running a script for it.
Telnet FTW!!!!

Re: Stab Thread
I like how every post you make includes a significant portion of your life story, like anyone gives a dung. Maybe it'll take another 8000 QPs for you to learn the difference between a "random room" and a choke, and then you can graduate to differentiating scripts vs. morons who just walk back into stabs thinking they're safe after already failing to notice they were being stalked. Keep crying, it really is music to my ears.
PS - I'm confident I have spent more time north of GK than you, mostly because I'm pretty sure North of GK isn't south of TT.
edit - Actually, having actually read Puny's post, I have to admit the jig is up. I had no idea Puny was there because his tracks were super old and impossible to find, I just habitually spend time in "random rooms" in the ass-end of Randland spamming backstab because maybe someone will show up. My last words are: I am Equitant. *quaffs a tinful*

I heard Vaen is a script
Re: Stab Thread
Wow Vaen has so much anger in him.... One day I might care about the rantings of some random person, on a game of little importance in the grand scheme of things. Mind you, that's no knock against the MUD, because it is by far one of the most enjoyable leisurely activities I have encountered, hence my nigh 20 IRL yrs of playing. I am thankful for this game and those that administrate over it.
As for the hurt feelings of someone that may or may not be running scripts to compensate for a lack of something.... eh. But, because my "crying" is music to your ears, and I feel bad for the amount of anger you have pent up within you... I shall endeavor to post some more things to bring you some solace or joy. *Cry* Waah!! Life's sucks!! *cry*
;) *hugs*
