This is why a simple narrate saying ON is so important. I had scouted them 1s well when I was trying to get well. I went ragan waiting for the ON. Next thing I noticed, I stopped following Yaerin. Me hitting could have maybe bought you a bit more time or something. We'll get them next time Yaerin.

From log looks like he says brb (to me this would imply that they are on as he needs to re-enter room) and then flees back into well and everyone but you is at the well. But at the point he's back to well he autowimpies to 1s while 3 people are in the room and then dies 1s.

Just weird feedback when I experience you as the least communicative teammate on LS, but replacing any of his inputs with on would not have changed the outcome of this log.

Ah, re-read log.

Everyone is grouped at well. You leave because they are 1s and narrate I'm ragan when 3 other humans are sitting at well and you could just walk around to well. They get hit, but you don't come because you stayed Ragan?

Maybe useful if anyone else narrates on at well, but everyone besides you is a basher and will focus on bashing. The value of a stabber in a group is having a spammer and a communicator. If I am pking you and 3 absers and you go ragan, I'm hitting the absers.

Yeah, I think right play for Sato there was probably to come well through the N side, since he had seen them S of it.

But I ultimately died from not reading the situation correctly and from some bad luck. Bad luck to have Kazura and Rig both on me when they hit, but I should have fled and re-entered immediately instead of rolling a bash. I'd seen Sato walk out (I assumed to avoid a possible stab) but had also assumed he was walking back in, which is why I came back. I also thought my hps were closer to 90 rather than around 70 (my autowimpy was at 65), so I ended up with the dumb dline instead of e to Ragan after getting autowimpied (bad luck that solo rogue broke my parry.) Then bad luck that both Wynona and Kazura got S flees right into me and instagibbed me before my flee went through.

But the real fail is Rig working himself 2x and fearing me when he was panicking inside of Fal Dara!

Sometimes it's honestly better to say nothing than to confirm exactly what the other guy is saying.

I don't understand what makes someone with full hps sit at Ragan in that situation instead of immediately going around n back to well, but I don't really understand a lot. You'll get 'em next time.

All of this is happening so fast that logs dont do it justice. Why would I be scare in that situation to sit Ragan. You think I'm scared that I'm going to die in that situation? It would take a very, very bad series of events for me to die there. Im not scared, I went Ragan and started spamming thinking they were going to hit me Ragan and I was going to call the rest over. Obviously, it did not play out like that. I misjudged that situation and it contributed to Yaerin dying there. I was saying that if I would have seen a narrate with ON, I would have gone back to them instad of staying Ragan thinking that I was going to get hit.

It has nothing to do with cowardice or whatnot.

I didn’t say you’re a coward -- but you do tend to default to exactly what a coward would do in a lot of situations. And in this case, it sounds like your primary concern was being singled out, which led to the pretty questionable assumption that a healthy 400hp rogue is more likely to get hit by 3 at a SMOB over the three battered and beaten people sitting at two ancients. :)

Mostly posting because you're giving advice. Communication is great, I agree.

In the context of what you could know based on your log, Yaerin narrates brb, you check where and see he's moving rooms. Once you see him moving rooms, as a solo player you could keep watching where to see if he needs help based on him being the only person moving rooms in the zone.

As it stands from this where we know that Kyson hasn't moved since you were in the trees room. You moved to Ragan and haven't moved, and Un and Yaerin have both moved since you moved to Ragan.

For instance, in his log, there's not a lot of room for him to narrate "help I'm dying bc autoflee" and if he narrated that he would probably be dead anyway. Most of the time if you're adjacent to PK, you can really help out teammates by watching where and seeing if people are consistently getting stuck in the same rooms and then sacrifice some of your fleelag to try and help them out.

Think your lesson learned is clear and good though. Thanks for sharing it.

I'd add a note of situational awareness here as well.

As a full hps dodger with presumably 16+ wil, when your teammates are some beat up ABSers, spamming at Ragan when the enemy is 1 room away from your companions is the sort of thing that can turn an entire group fight. This is the sort of situation that allows good PKers/leaders to win fights even when they are outgunned in total -- they take advantage of a situation where the enemy's forces are divided and they have a temporary advantage in 1 specific room, at a decisive point in the fight. If you're into history, this is the principle that Napoleon held in regard above all others and used to great success on actual battlefields.

The Blight
Although the edge of the blight is not far to the south, the sickly yellow
has almost completely obscured the healthy land here. The air is foul and
ripe, yet sweet. All around you are sickly and broken trees with black and
red leaves. It would not take much more than a smouldering cinder to set
off a massive forest fire in the surrounding area.
