Fail!
Re: Fail!
Bad rolls, but this is only 4 bashes, and isn't this the difference between dodge and combo? I think it's looking worse because you actually landed all 4 bashes - but there's that log of a master vs a rogue missing 9/10 bashes berserk.
If you want to kill the dodger, then at least you would want to use a mob or so? Otherwise anything except some super rare top end dodge would be largely ineffective for a channeler vs a master abs weapon, because the master can walk in 1v1, change mood berserk and basically win :P Right now I think it's the channeler who can walk in solo vs solo and have the advantage (hence that class is considered more powerful :P).
tl;dr - I wouldn't zerk on a dodge channeler unless there was mob support (or I would because I was being lazy and I'd expect to die :P).

I think your flossing over some pretty important facts. Likely Byrg was using a top non rare abs weapon. I believe he has 21 str? Even if 19, doesn’t matter. He’s also a master. Now he’s fighting someone who’s in some dodge but I wouldn’t consider her set dodge. She’s wearing a mantle, s single necklace, and non dodge shoes. Seems to be some combination of parry and dodge gear.
The alternative to this is Byrg using a nasty spiked club and bashing a full dodge set with dragon belt, medallions, etc. That wouldn’t be acceptable.
The problem seems to be when you get sat down the parrying bonus seems to remain quite high. Still I’m surprised 180 or 190 ob does not break it. Abs has always been the weakest set up and I never understood how combo weapons continue to have higher ob. There is literally no justification for it.
Re: Fail!
So much this. It's not very balanced at all. Same for rares. Abs rares are pretty lackluster compared to combo ones and also harder to get for whatever reason.Kryyg wrote:The problem seems to be when you get sat down the parrying bonus seems to remain quite high. Re: Fail!
dunno about that, save for the heron, I feel like abs rares perform much the same as the other rares, in that they have a buff in the important areas for an abser(ob, weight, dmg) with the Diamond tipped lance probably needing a buff to dmg or ob, but yeah I agree that it is weird that they seem so much rarer than the combo ones.
