She doesnt have to be, it just works slightly different when she is not online. Claiming that they are dependent on her being online for all of their bonusses, is a fallacy.
When the AS isnt online, the multibash bonus works differently, but is still better then not having it :)

I don't mean to offend anyone, and I'm not trying to be glib or finicky. But if someone says they think Warders are more powerful than Fades, in a PK setting. Then I'd like to see why that is as I have a differing opinion on it. Again, not trying to cause anyone to get angry or anything. Just talking to discuss. I apologize if anyone gets riled up about it.
Edit about the Multi-bash and online/vs not online thing. It's debilitating in a PK setting. Still works wonders in a Smobbing setting, I agree.

I will agree with zerk attack for Gaidin, however.
Also friend Razhak, I'm merely joining the civil discussion for now! Let's go ahead and list the pro's and con's of each character type.
Gaidin Bonded:
Pros;
+hps
+mvs
+ob
Multi Bash
Zone Sense
Best regen in the game 24 tics of the 24 hour days
Zerk attack (with Sedai online)
+pracs
Target Switch
Cons:
Zerk requires Sedai to be online
Multi Bash is easy to counter if said Gaidin is using it stupidly to buff whole patties

Fades:
Pros;
Fear (fear vials being bugged makes this a powerful ability)
Compel
Mounted sneak and ranger sneak flees (only while mounted)
Slightly better than a good trolloc Hunter mvs
Good practices
Rat/Raven reports

Terrible regen 16 out of 24 tics of the day because of sunlight.
Fade isn't an eject button anymore
Compel is based on dps
Fear is based on dps
Target Switch is based on dps
Sole Target of channelers during pk
I might be forgetting some things but this is the general division between the two. I dunno but to me it appears that Gaidin are superior???
Edit: Superior pk wise anyway.

As I said I forgot some.
Shirts don't really count as humans have the equivalent if people didn't hoard them in their rents.
Gleamers really aren't used too often anymore and its poison cups are not bugged as fear vials are.
Everyone should be aware that when you loot an inky to immediately drop it.

Edit : Looking at the two lists, I still think Fade's Pro's are stronger in a PK setting than a Gaidin's. Fear, by itself, wins a fight. You could argue that a warder could have infinite fear vials, and you'd be right. But one being passive and the other requiring constant preparation makes the passive one stronger imo.

I think you're being a bit dramatic over your "cons"...
Fade isn't an eject button anymore - Fade not having something isn't a con, otherwise we can add a whole slew of things to both classes.
Compel, Fear and Target switch being based on DPS - is like saying channies having weaves is actually a con because it costs sps.
Sole target of channelers in PK - I don't think you can count player based behavior as a con, the same thing happens to Gaidin or anyone leading a group, you strategically choose who to remove first.

Never really thought of inky killing opponents as a fade bonus cause fade is dead :-P
