I have to agree with the hussy over the cloak on this one.

Actually I have to call bullshit, because I am fairly certain alot of cloak stabbers are just sitting around the central lands, even in TV/Tower waiting for channies to afk/rest/sit/log on etc to one-shot them. You can go into discussions about the difference between "not being there" or "not seeing the threat" but in the end they are there with the same goal: get one shot kills without opposition.

The difference is once you figure out that they are AFK and you persist you become a complete piece of dung.

Eh AFK/ld killing is stupid and you're obviously not looking for PK if you do it, so just out for the cheap kill. Try not to stoop to their level, even if you have seen them do it, name and shame works better - be the better person and the mud becomes a little better without more AFK killers - seems to be enough of them around these days. Don't really get Razhak's point about channelers resting/sitting- yeah I imagine most stabbers on all sides would be looking for that...

Targeting the novices who appear afk isn't really better. However some *oL do persist after the afk is clear. Not saying that means it's ok for others as well. Maybe it's just the same players on alts.

You can appear AFK real easy but usually by about the third stab attempt you should have it figured out.

And like I've said, I've seen *oL go after people who were obviously afk even to a total noob. Add that to the hopefully afk targets and the targets who are not allowed to defend themselves, and I'm less inclined to care if Tower does it back, though they shouldn't.

By all means, I welcome people to call out anyone that intentionally kills ld or afk people, regardless of the killer's affiliation.

I find it unacceptable behavior in a competitive game to play against a person who isn't even present. It is akin to playing 2 player GoldenEye deathmatch in facility, pistols only, no radar on the n64, it's great to sneak up on someone from the vent ducts and shoot them in the head while they are unaware. It's a totally different beast to shoot them in the head while they are taking a bio break (and you know it).
