how is he beating my spam here? (also some weird rat chased me from 1n xroads to orch well - like aggroed me in 3 rooms while i was crit)

Funny cause I had a rat following me around too. I think it's the same way that dlining works? There's that little bit of lag if you flee but wait a half second to enter a direction. Where if you flee and hit a direction it auto goes through? Idk honestly. Maybe you just had a bit of lag? I know for a min there you were hitting me when I chased into rooms. I'm a pretty quick chaser and I was just stacking commands.

A Narrow Trail
On both sides of the trail the green forest stretches out as far as one can
see. The first tree looks the same as the next and the narrow trail is the
only thing to be trusted. Since there is nothing but old trees to the west
and east the most logical choice would be to follow the trail that
continues north and south with forest all around it.

To the north this otherwise uneven trail goes on straight without turns or
twists. The trees don't grow so closely together as they do to the east, so
it is possible to leave the trail to enter the forest. The trail continues

Upon the Trail
Unlike the rest of the trail, this part is in really bad condition. The
trees of the forest are closing in from both the north and south. There are
many hairs on the scabrous bark of the trees from passing animals. Most of
the hair is at the roots of the trees but some black hair is as high up as
seven foot above the ground. The trail goes on west and east but south the
green trees of the forest grow.

Ahh I guess for one those I had a stacked direction and then the k xxx . And yeah, vs fast chasers the margin for error is zero :p Last bit looks laggy.. I was trying to get the first hits in there and it backfired.

hmm yeah that's weird. You must be lagging I think Isabel. If you were spamming k dark as soon as you fled off, he should get hit first on walk in...I think the only way he should get first hit off is if he dlined into your room off a mob or something. Just like you can beat someone's spam for stab. Dline off a mob, stack hide and backstab commands, and you will hide before their spam hits you.... Unless what happened to you is a game mechanic where you are lagged in the next room off flee, but that wouldn't make sense really, as you wouldn't be able to dline if that was the case.

never really done stab/charge timer stuff before so this was fun (as headless chicken-esque as it was :D). i had 2 aliases for the 2 stabbers - i was thinking they would try something around room order. forgot about re-entering of course (silllyy!). in hindsight, should have possibly gone road rooms at least and built up some/more fleelag first?
