Pretty sure its not full invulnerability, just full standing defense. Typically this happens with fleebie dodgers, so people think they're untouchable. Rest of this is right though. You could probably test this on an abser easily enough.Razhak wrote:This has nothing to do with perks.
Bash does a tiny bit of damage. Thus the landed bash sets off the autoflee, person flees to an adjacent room, but will sit for 2 rounds due to bash that landed. For some reason that triggers a basical invulnerability for those 2 rounds to melee hits.
The bashed person sits down though for 2 rounds, a quick stab/charge van kill him/her.
This is not a side bonus, it works for all sides as far as I know and in my opinion it is majorly annoying :P
Someone explain this please?

Known bonus. That’s why WB are so OP. I sometimes dism when I’m low to invoke this bonus.
Re: Someone explain this please?
I definitely see it happen with trolloc dodgers also, and think Raz is right about the cause: autowimpy flee triggered by the bash itself.
What Maegon is saying (full defense vs invulnerability) would make sense, I just don't know that I've seen parry broken in the next room even with a full group and high OB.
Also, hi, Maegon! Come back to us!

Re: Someone explain this please?
I don't think it has anything to do with being dismounted because I think I've seen it on riders. I also think it's full invulnerable, I've seen entire groups miss 10+ hits. I think it's like the old limb bug where you were invulnerable with a limb while bashed.
Re: Someone explain this please?
I've definitely seen hits happen, but it seems very rare and not just standing defense.
Re: Someone explain this please?
This is why I wish that the damage on the bash itself were removed alltogether..ecthus wrote:I definitely see it happen with trolloc dodgers also, and think Raz is right about the cause: autowimpy flee triggered by the bash itself.
No more 1-round bashes on dodgers,..
No more invulnerable dodgers 1 room away..
Re: Someone explain this please?
Would make dodge unplayable, zerk attack already makes it tricky to stick around beat in dodge, since it kind of negates the autowimpy and potential of just one round of damage. Unless you just want dodgers to go in at wound.
Re: Someone explain this please?
I want to freaking have 2 rounds of bashed damage when I risk staying in the room also.
So often I am trying to bash dodgy channelers: 1 missed bash means eating atleast 1, most often 2 well timed ice spikes or fireballs. When landed, I just want it to stick also.
So often I have died in missed bash-lag to weaves rolling on me, and no one complains about that either.

Re: Someone explain this please?
Risk reward, start using autowimpy as well and you won't eat two weaves, although its a bit trickier in abs unless you have a good link or are against people who also have slowish link. Don't go for the bash if you are heavily fleelagged and only have hps for 2 weaves, usually you'll be able to get out of the second weave unless you have some fleelag on you.
If autowimpy is removed, it means every bash you eat with two on you could kill you from wounded. For channelers it'd probably be from fullish hps vs warriors :p In any case its probably coding so no point worrying about it I imagine

Re: Someone explain this please?
I am not saying remove autowimpy.
The argument is fallible: i need to adhere to risk vs reward as a bashing abser, but a channie can use a get out of jail free card? I think rolling a weave on a basher should also hold a risk for the channie: being getting bashed!
I am saying to remove the damage done by the bash, so that people flee less out of bashes.
A landed bash should always give me some reward, not an instant flee out.
