Re: Arrows ruined my life
Archery has always worked this way. Working as intended imo, and follows basically the same steps as horse scouting mobol. Set target, the scout/shoot. Sure it's annoying, but if you're going to complain about something killing pk, there are many worse things.
If we're talking about sportsmanship, I recall darkside didn't mind when I was earning my first 1000 qps, darkside used it many times against my LS group that was sitting low/outnumbered at Ragan Gap which forced us to move off patty and head in. We sucked it up and dealt with it rather than complaining about it on boards. Also, all it takes is to stack a couple aliases, not some sort of cheating trigger that is being implied.
Jecks is a good pker and a cool guy, so props to him for trying something new to fill his time. :)

Re: Arrows ruined my life
somehow find it comical that some of the people complaining about arrows and what not were the same people who'd spam use the cow throwing mobol in Orchard to get people to move from Ragan.
Re: Arrows ruined my life
Now this might be unintended. The rest is not and has been the exact same way since implementation, which was March 2008. When I use it, I set the target and then the shoot command and have been whenever I used it. That's literally the way it works, because it can be made to work the setting target - shoot command - set target - shoot command way. I guess it took people this long to figure out that this is how it works.Halcyon wrote:I couldn't stab him because he had a trigger for it so he would walk in the room, spam say whatever, and leave before I'm even the first pulse into my stab timer.

Re: Arrows ruined my life
I see razhak's point, that makes more sense. Wouldn't it be the same thing though as just spamming the target name? you could still set an alias or whatever to do the same thing I'd think? Same outcome right or am I missing something?
