Killing someone AFK is NOT against the WOTmud rules...never has been, and I doubt it ever will be.

Not obeying the 5/30 rule, reading forums you shouldn't read, those are huge rule violations, and are certainly not taken lightly. Reading forums you shouldn't read is pretty malicious and can certainly ruin people's playing atmosphere on a deeper level than just being killed AFK.

I just find it so rich that Kryyg can come for people who aren't even breaking any rules, but he has admittedly broken the big no-no's, and some how is the one taking the higher road? Oh come now, this truly does make me laugh.

Instead take the higher ground: just kill the other person when THEY are afk. It's very simple, karma pays out well on this game.

I believe taking the high ground would be not killing them afk/ld. Killing them back while they are afk/ld just stoops you to their level, which also makes you a hypocrite. I don't think we want to all be killing each other afk/ld all the time.

I get what you are saying Rig, but I also don't want to log onto a game where everyone is AFK. If you don't have time to invest in the game, just log off, don't put idle triggers on, and do please hold your bladder! :P

This isn't going to change. The only thing one can do is be prepared, and take the measures to prevent yourself from being AFK killed...AGAIN. I feel that majority of the people that gripe about being killed AFK, are the ones that are habitually stepping away from the keyboard, and don't want to change their own behaviors.

Sitting AFK outside malk, on dusty, or whereever cross-races populate, is really unintelligent. More so, if the reason you're AFKing is far more important than a game, then dying in that said game really shouldn't cause you so much grief. Because AFKing was worth it, right?

My point is: you aren't going to change other people, but you can do a better job of setting yourself up to avoid dying this way.

I agree. Going AFK in a pk/highly populated zone is probably asking to die. It takes all of like 2 minutes to get from tv to keep on a shadow with compel/fresh, if that. This was also a good point brought up by whoever said it first.
