Crit can be up to ~60 hp. Unless you knew he was low crit, you probably just didn't do enough damage - 4 hits total, 2 hard, 2 normal. I don't have the damage range tables on hand so I can't estimate from the hits what the top end of that is - but that's the most likely. Warders don't drain from their sedai, no.
Edit: Wiki says that's a max of 48 damage, assuming you rolled well. Definitely a lot, but not a guaranteed kill if he was near the beat/crit boundary. Also possible you hit a half-tick or something there which gave him a few more hps.

Feel like they changed weave coding - I have fireball at 90+

portcullis is rusted fast about five feet from the ground. However, newly

providing excellent protection for the main entrance to the fortress. The
stones that make up the tower have been cut from a very dull red marble
giving a sense of age. A path leads west, away from the castle.

Uhhh. Warders do drain their aes sedai. This has been in place since vivienne upped warders a few years ago.

Also, weave prac % was changed ages ago to reflect actual % success rate. People just tend to remember the multiple failures in a row that happen with statistics.
