Seems pretty anecdotal and doesn't line up with say wotcode equipment stats analyser (shame its down atm). Also, the other day i missed something 14/15 stabs on a shifty ogier.

I recently had a session with Matheus were we missed 5 bashes on each other in a row. Voulge vs Finely axe. Both in combo. Bash is a cruel mistress.

Definitely silly for Jestin to have wimpy 0 in dodge :P

And yeah, it is anecdotal, just a frustrating and boring play experience. For reference, I was using honed and hardened brass hilted. I believe it would have been 181 OB and 132 PB for most of those bashes. As I mentioned on the Player's Lounge thread, I don't think I should be obligated to use a rare in order to land a bash.

what % were you hoping a non rare common combo weapon would bash a channeler wearing 5 rares?

Are you a mounted warrior? Are you berserk? Gaidin bonuses to add onto to that bash %?

I think the club bonus alone is about the only non rare combo bonus that should touch 160 dodge unless a berserk warrior.
All the abs weapons should be able to sit it.

The game is rock paper scissors. Once someone is at 160 the whole point is it will negate unless you opt for a club

This is why I was 99% mallet and 1% incentivising myself to go back to clubs.
If you are clubs, you can set up scary situations for DLs
If you are clubs you can always use mobs to even out pk but still be effective because you can bash
The only scenario where you won't have a viable setup to fight is against an fblade user and occasionally an sblade user with higher will or great link who will shred your hps and flee out of bashes. The only scenario in which I've won that was when zerk attack was there and I just went all offensive from the get go (was abs vs heron foil and a really good player!)

I do have a log of winning vs mikhan in full dodge without mallet - but it was really a 1% master bash kick in.

Sounds boring as firetruck to me to predicate everything on equipment in a game where there's no real equipment scarcity or established team comps at the beginning of a "round"? What're we doing, just opting into dying when we log anything but our most decked out dodgers?

I don't care about the 8.5% bash rate across 3 dodgers there using a non-rare weapon, but I would also like people to stop saying stupid dung like this when it goes the other way:

Just up abs weapons and down dodge then!
Scratch that: bring back the claymore!

I do think this is very situational and just shows dice rolls more than anything, have seen enough bashes on great dodge with a finely axe. Also with a 18str hunter.
