Honestly, fades are indeed bonused. And the bonuses are intended to leading. On the other hand, DS is just a more structured side in general. LS isn't.

Not so much a hippy plea as petulant cynicism if you ask me! I see plenty of cases of people still acting in the best way for gameplay, in many ways I think this has almost improved of late because a lot of people take the text-wealth not as seriously! There's still incidents of people doing lame stuff, but I really think they're way less often than your post implies.
Ah yes, sycophantic elitism has always been a problem on darkside, and the need for you to reply with the phrase "petulant cynicism" might make me think it is still a problem. It's quite clear to me that Paj is pointing out that with a smaller player base it might be wise for people to change their mindset from win at all costs to one of creating a fun pk environment so as to help foster a better community environment when there's so few people left.

Saying a fade isn't overboard or powerful compared to anything nulls your argument. You also get to lead and group your horse. Which while small at times is essentially like leading two mobs. Super handy when your facing 1-3 or whatever the odds. Your int and will spikes alone are a massive improvement. Compared to the normal troll you can flee much more easily and often. You get to use a cool weapon like gleaming longs exclusive. Say what you will poison alone is devastating with no remedy.

It's like saying that a wolf brother doesn't become instantly harder to kill once he joins and gets his perks. Generally there just annoying as fk given ranger sneak. All these bonuses are mostly pk related. You have a huge range of them that effect aspects in different ways. Certainly not unkillable but much harder then a normal Joe. To say your not at a big advantage is naive to say the least. Coupled with someone like evisc or lykan ability and knowledge. Add on a group at your back. Your basically a killing machine.

Channelers are a whole different ball game. I can and have won 1on1's etc with fades or whatever. Channelers aswell.. but no other char has the simplicity of ravaging someone easily as channies. Wasn't for channelers and I'm sure some of the better players agree., You feel like you might never die heh. There damage output is rough, any Joe blow can take down anyone. And easily at that specially in groups or low numbers. I loathe channelers being around. You fail a flee or something you might just wind up dead.

PS. Who else really hates spell check on phones and wotmud lingo great.

1) Fades are OP
2) Channelers are 2x as OP as fades

Any newbie can stat a fc, lvl to 30, grab basic combo and beat me in a 1v1 without using a single mob. You can post all the lists of bonuses you want, but in the end you either know you're wrong or you are trying to convince yourself that channelers aren't the most ridiculously OP thing in this game so that you don't feel bad for not excelling at them. The reason no DL's last and no prominent LS channelers stick around is because they're just plain easy and they get boring too quickly. Ironic coming from a guy who plays bonused characters pretty much exclusively, right? Difference is, I can run around crit/beat on all those chars and take risks and use tactics/skill to overcome odds and have fun and get kills. On a channeler, its just frikking wizkilling people. Sure, its fun sometimes but after a little while it loses its novelty.

Channelers were balanced about 10 years ago. Now they all have 300+ hps. Their only balancing factor was being glass cannons. Not so much anymore.

I do just as well on my BG master as I do on Eviscerator.
