Wrt to Aiel - isn't the point of the Three Fold Land that it's an awful place to live for them? That doesn't discount pasty yet curiously bloody-minded gingers to me!
They should do something similar to the Dr. Strange hand movements and CGI. I thought it looked pretty good.

Agreed. The recent Star Wars and Marvel movies made me think they'd be able to do a good job.
