Yeah I think he’ll be good though I might be questioning his parenting skills... 😂

More cast members added. Time to see who is playing Thom Merrilin : https://deadline.com/2019/12/the-wheel- ... 202800077/

Seems like good choices. I'm really digging the guy who will be Padan Fain. Has a good "friendly face but with wild eyes" look about him.

Alanna and her Warders have been cast. In the real world we would call them a Throple.

Why can't Mat be a girl? How else would he know so much.

omg... I don't mean it that way. That is just how people talk when making fun of your comments. Of course I want matt to be a man... exactly like the book. Geez new generation...

I'm going to watch it religiously.

I'm really surprised at how far back this thread has fallen!

I've been catching up on a lot of news and castings over the past several months and the more I see the more excited I get for this show. I don't necessarily think all the castings are perfect but its clear Amazon is going after quality actors. And I've been increasingly impressed with their production quality overall, so I am getting more and more optimistic.

Ha, fair point. I have hope, though! It's gonna be great. #unity2021! woopwoop.

I guess my main argument for the show is that the "floor" of quality seems pretty high to me. Even if the writing flops, which it hopefully wont, the production quality will be good enough that its hard to imagine me being too disappointed in it. I find myself enjoying shitty shows pretty often now despite actively recognizing they are actually pretty terrible, just because the worldbuilding, acting, and/or plot is good enough to justify ignoring the bad. And the upside is a really great show that we get to enjoy for years! How damn awesome would it be to have a GoT-level show that runs the entire series? I never expected a decent tv series to be made of it, so I guess I may just be easy to please. Then again, they may botch it so bad I end up in jail for burning down some studio after losing my mind :)
