outsider looking in

Hi guys/gals

So periodically I get that mad urge to check up on my old stomping ground and it's great to see WoTMUD is still smoking hot :) I also had a chat with Vampa, and it sounds as if things are on the up - there certainly seem to have been a bunch of things imped in the last year - great stuff. Whilst I was at it I thought I'd check some of the other Wheel of Time MUDs out there, and I have to say whilst text based games are perhaps not the trendiest of games these days, compared to the other guys you're doing just fine - kudos to the crew. 10x the players here then the others when I logged on.

My hat off to all of you, and as I've got a bit more time on my hands these days I'm happy to help out with some of the back room admin stuff especially the inbound marketing element (ie getting people to play). I've mailed Flash, his call.

Just to reassure some of you oldtimers, if Flash IS up for it, I have no intention whatsoever of getting involved with the in-game ops again ie screwing with the Blight! I was on a bit of a roleplay binge at the time and threw my toys out the pram when my oh-so-amazing redo of the blight, according to the bloody books (randomly shifting sand), didn't turn out to be quite so fantastic for cross race PK. Hey ho, that's life. Also, someone mentioned some forums - as the guy who set the highly successful official MUD one up, I was always aware that this was a key part of getting players so no, a different one unthemed no imm announcements and in all honesty by people pissy about the imms really wasn't such a positive move. But that's all history as far as I'm concerned.

Hope you're all well, if you don't know me - which many will not - I was active '95-'10 or so.

Cheers,

- Nass
