I'd love to see how many abs sets and weapons this has eaten up over the years. I know some mauls have been lost to it.

I've never come close personally. If you really want it you probably have to set up your practices just for it - 99 weapon, 99 attack.

That man has felt pain.

Lost about 12 sets of full abs and WSL, h/h, before finally winning.
Didn't win until the first time I tried, as master, and yes, bashed all the way.
Yes, always did,
99% longs
99% bash
99% attack

dropped everything, including trinks, containers, everything except for meat, a skin, and a dagger, which I dropped all that on the ground, once inside RBM, trying to max OB.

I got it on my second try as a non master. As already stated, 99 longs/bash/attack, and only wear armor, sword, light, and a dagger. I actually wore a burni, since the majority of the damage came from emotes. The one other thing that most people don't even think about is RBM's load. If he's wearing an ebony set and wielding a claymore, just wait until next boot/pop. IIRC, he was wearing a riv set and no gauntlets when I beat him. And yes, a bit of luck.

Everytime this comes up, I have to rehash my story of using a Heron Long and just barely beating him with single digits life left on Darenwin. And how I've tried on my Seanchan 45+ times and haven't been able to do it using the prescribed 99 attack, 99 longs, 99 bash and any number of combination of equipment. SO MANY ABS gone!

Don't forget a dagger too! That really sucks.
