I have seen a lot of people say that 17 DEX is not enough on a Channeler and even Vampa has given homeland changes because of it. As far as I can tell it is only 3 DB from 18 DEX and with Armor weave you can still pull 3-4 more DB than a 19 DEX character. Why do people complain about this? Please give examples when possible and try not to respond with too much feeling... I’m trying to understand if there is much statistical reasoning to this or if this is just a case of gamer mentality that needs to have maxes ect.. Thanks in advance for any constructive feedback!

Note: all my channelers are 17 DEX and I don’t PK with them, or much at all for that matter. But I think 17 is fine.

I have 17 dex and I get by ok. Sure, I'd love to have 18 dex, and it's great to max out when in dodge, but it's not the end of the world having 17.

I played dodge with 17 dex and currently play dodge with 18 dex and typically emmies, kandori sets, and sashes. I explode a lot, but you just can't go into a fight expecting to buff an abser or master and dodge 90% of bashes. Yes, maybe it makes a difference at the really top end of dodge, but most of the people complaining aren't rolling out in perfect kits pulling insane moves solo.

Based on in game feedback, combo sounds more broken than dodge atm.

I have 17 dex and usually run full dodge gear, prac'd to 99 (also emeralds, kandori, sashes). It's fine. I die very frequently in PK but that's more a function of my inexperience than anything else I think. With better trinkets I can get to about 300 def though which seems okay?

I mean, sure I'd prefer 18 dodge but I'm not complaining. Frankly I think the mentality of "you have to have perfect stats" is kind of silly and creates a really high barrier to entry for people. Mine are garbage and I get along just fine. Gives me something to look forward to re-rolls wise.

I think it is this more than anything else... If everyone has such excellent stats though then it basically becomes required to have such great stats to compete so I see where the concern is.
