This has gotta go folks. Can't have something that bashes with such a short timer. Bash is such a devastating thing, needs long timer and penalty for failure, not guaranteed damage if fail and amazing results if success.

I'm in agreement. I just recently practiced this weave to test out the bashing on it after Mikhan killed me with the weave several days ago.

I have been rather surprised with how many bashes I've landed. This morning I landed 3 bashes in 30 minutes. One of those bashes killed Stanislav, and I felt no glory from this. Especially since it recently happened to myself. There are no skillful ways to counter the bash other than continuously flee off and return to the fight using shorter weaves like Earthquake.

If the hammer of air weave bashed on a low % but did not deal any damage at all, I could see that as a slight compromise, but still overpowered, as the user is guaranteed the damage of ice spikes or fireball once their target is sat.

Yeah it's stupid. The only argument I can really see for it is it throws out a random chance of killing those super-eqd, low-risk dodgers who are so frustrating generally, but even for those foul denizens of flee-land it's a pretty crappy way to die. Also an easy fix, since without bash it's a useless weave - just block the practice of it?

I have it and not sure its beneficial, doesn't do much really. Discourage it like contagion, then again Melayna was using that weave. So no idea really now. People don't like lightning, contagion, HOA.

While I know those weaves kill PK, doesn't poison, cane, fear {for a duration} and contagion from Fade weapons and so forth also counteract a good PK session . Inkys not included, they can be avoided.

So what is there to do, if its ok for one side to use it and then another not! Where is the balance in that my friends? People should be prepared for those weaves in channie fights and stop whining after they rip from something they have used or similar to.

stupid weave, ruins channie v channie pk. Make it same length as lightning if you want to keep it around, but its silly as it is.
@Firimei here is the thing with contagion, I have had contagioned prac'd ever since I got clanned weaves as a darkfriend, but you don't see me using it as Darlana and others. Contagion is an insane weave, but if you don't have your enemy in a door or if they aren't berserk I'd discourage its use as it kills pk. When you are in a door fight that is pretty much the goal, to kill PK. Not really sure what contagion inducing weapons fades have

I would politely request that comments about contagion or other weaves be placed in another thread so we can focus on HoA here.

I believe the main problem is not whether or not it kills pk. The main problem is that it (1) allows bash on a very short timer and (2) allows channelers to bash when there are already so many upsides to being a channeler.

I myself have not practiced this in over a year and will never practice it again on any alt unless it's changed.

I know Mikhan uses that HOA weave a lot, which is one reason I chose to experiment with it. Also not meaning to digress from the topic in hand, but making the example of for one its ok and another not situation.

Also Mel I understand your use of it and see its potential in a door fight, where its pretty much screwed for one side anyway.

My justification is that for one should be be fine for another. So many weaves are frowned upon in PK, so it boils down to the limited few and other weaves not even worth practising.

Believe i mentioned how lame cane can be and other weaves. Just felt a bit, pot calling the kettle black.

I'm equally concerned when Mikhan uses it as when Firimei uses it. Just want it gone. This is not a side issue as we have channies on both sides using it. It should just be removed so that neither side can use it.

Please use another thread if you want to discuss issues with contagion, hurricane, or anything else. Would be happy to discuss that there.

That won't be productive, we all know what is being said and reading between the lines. Less maybe of the weaves that do no good outside a door? On both sides.

No idea otherwise how to combat this and feel this thread will just go in circles
