The changes I would have suggested instead:
a. slightly longer weave timers to avoid PONR weaves
b. reducing damage of weaves and spell costs, proportionally, so that damage takes longer to deal and channies can have more sustained damage
The main problem is that channies go too quickly from being killing machines to being totally useless.
Killing them has never been much of a problem, except in the cases of top PKers who are difficult to kill regardless--especially with port nerfed (which was a great change.)
