most awesome idea ever

Sitting at GK with no one around waiting for PK, I had the most AWESOME idea ever - IMms pleeease consider it.

What about making a new arena area where players on any side can only enter 1 per person and as you enter the guard gives you an item, and then you only exit by dropping the item the crossrace player has in a selected place - aka by killing them and gaining their token.

So basically at slow times like this when people are sitting around doing nothing, no idea if crossrace anyone is pking etc (I know scouts etc - and those are great) - like you can hit a bell outside and if someone is inside, then it rings, and then you can enter. So someone looking for pk could just sit in that arena area.

And have it enterable from 4-5 diff locations (for SS, RE, Sal Cav, etc all the main PK clans). And a gong can go off when a player on either side is killed - so new players can go in etc.

Maybe make it so that you can only enter as a channie if the other player is also a channie etc?

Okay I know lots to work out but I think it'd be an awesome change! :D Like Champions arena or so.

AND I remember when Blademaster was implemented people weren't too happy because it wasn't really a reflection of skill - could use this arena instead, maybe have it at a Blademaster level where you have to fight 1 v 5 or so and slay at least 2 etc?

A great idea, but not i don't think for this mud. I think it would fall into the NWIH list, that seems to either shrink or grow.

Neat idea, but it's been discussed.
No Way In Hell List.
These are things that have been proposed and shot down in the past, and are suggestions that the staff consider will never happen in WoTmud. Basically these topics are not open to discussion, so don't even bother (re)suggesting them.

Removal of all global channels, addition of official [OOC] channel or [clan] channel.
Instead of a choosable channeler class have a random % chance that a character discovers they can channel
Any similar random % 'features' that a character discovers they have (exception being character stats)
Merc mud features: gtell (group tell), sacrifice/junk, split gold/eq
Hiding of all point-based statistics like hps, moves, stats, etc. using qualifying adjectives like high, low, etc.
Making characters immune from getting PK'd (flags, special clans, newbies, whatnot)
Downloadable release of WoTmud
A permanent "deathmatch arena" set of zones with different rules and conditions to the rest of the mud, running inside the main mud
Buyable player safe rooms, e.g. 'houses'. Customized generic rooms, custom clan rooms, clanlevel 8 rooms etc. are ok.
Ability to rename your character at will, or to delete your character.
Removal of all deathtraps from the game.
Creation of dreadguards, a login darkside channeler class.
Dual wield weapons
Isle of madmen to become PC MC-friendly
Trollocs having even MORE moves by being able to ride cows, horses, donkeys, whatever.
Permanent double exp
Playerwipe
Quests and/or methods other than exping giving out exp

Deathmatch would be a nice addition when things are really sluggish. If you have the coders for it I think its a viable solution and would definitely create more attention to the mud. Course you guys seem against that so either don't have the ability to code it or just too stubborn to bend. Oh well.
