Wheel of Time MUD

Seeing some other farewell posts has motivated me to post as well, if for no other reason than to give closure to myself and some other players that have inquired as to my return.

While I can’t guarantee I won’t log on at 2am sometime to chat when I’m feeling drunk and nostalgic, I have no intentions of coming back to the game to play.

Having spent many years mired in the game, I fully understand what it is like to be so close to everything in it. The game may be a fantasy, but the feelings are real. For a very long time I have felt that the game environment has been more negative than positive. While I can genuinely say that I’ve made enormous conscious effort to try and be positive, it’s exhausting. I know that I have certainly contributed to the toxic atmosphere in the past which is one of my main reasons for moving on. The game brings out parts of myself that I dislike, and I spend too much time thinking about it when I have other things in my life that mean so much more.

At the end of the day, it makes zero difference if you have jcuffs or a wb. Games should be a fun distraction, not something that define you.

To my friends, you know who you are. Thanks for all the fun and the feels.

To everyone else – thanks for being a part of the community. I still have lots of great memories with players that I never really got to know.

Ahhh boo! You were my go to for anything that happened to my pc lol! Your a very smart lady. I greatly appreciate all the free help you gave me when I was having problems. Lord knows I'm terrible at computers/zmud. You will be missed here. Just like anyone who decides to hang it up for awhile or good. I hope you find your free time spent here better spent elsewhere. Oh shoot. I'm sorry to see you go and I hope after some time passes you might come back and want to play again.

I never really got to spend as much time with you as I would have liked. My fault, being not terribly social. For your part, you've always been friendly towards me, always easy to talk to and enjoyable to spend time with, little though it was. To someone like me, who is not friendly by nature and requires a certain amount of effort to be sociable, that means a lot.

Good luck in everything you do, now and in the future. I hope to see you again someday.
