Wheel of Time MUD

Anyone have a wacky statting ritual they do, like praying, or killing a certain mob before hitting lvl 3?

I gather the blood of the fallen saplings and spread it across my naked body. From there I spend the next 3 hours singing praise of the Halls of Glory so that I may recieve stats worthy of Valhalla. I gather the remaining blood and burn it with the scalp of 3 deer. If this appeases the Gods I receive worthy stats.

Like my personal relationships, I just lower my standards and everything works out.

After hitting level 3, I won't check stats right away.

First, I'll type score to see what HPs are like, as sort of a preview of what con I might have in store. Then, if statting with any kind of heavier weapon, I'll see if I'm still wielding it or if it has been kicked to inventory, as a preview of how str might be shaping up.

That way, it's both an easier let-down when I finally type stat (knowing that either str or con was already poo), and a ramping-up of anticipation.

The whole thing reminds me of Homer in that certain old Simpsons episode where he's playing a scratch-off game at the Kwik-E-Mart:

"D'OH! That purple fruit thing!"
